  2. Ask Mikey Technical Questions Due to his disgruntled behavior Mikey is permanently locked away in the ATVR garage, but he does have occasional Internet access to answer your tech questions. Each month we receive an overwhelming flow of technical questions from our readers. Everyone at ATVR including the night janitor carries an extremely heavy workload so as a last resort we were forced to put Mike Newsom in charge of answering your questions. Mikey is one of the most talented mechanics we know, but it's his off-the-wall remarks and repulsive attitude that keep him locked away in the garage. If you dare to bear his response, send your questions to [email protected]. We promise not to let Mikey use your name and embarrass you in front of your buddies. 3. ATV Maintenance and Repair The next best thing to riding ATVs is wrenching on them. Pro Remedies is where you learn tips from the professionals. Shock Linkage Lubrication The rear shock linkage is out of sight and often out of mind when lubricating your ATV. Without being periodically disassembled and lubricated the needle bearings will eventually dry out and come apart. Neglecting these bearings will result in needlessly spending extra dollars and performing the tedious task of replacing the bearings. Grease is cheap and bearings aren't, get the picture? 4. ATV Maintenance and Repair - Pro Remedies The next best thing to riding ATVs is wrenching on them. We reveal tips that'll get you roosting again. Valve Stem Caps I'm sure that you've had a slow leaking tire at some point. The annoying type that holds air for a majority of the day but is always flat when you are ready to ride. This can be caused by small debris particles preventing the valve stem from seating properly. Reinstalling the caps after service will keep the valve clean and your tires properly Photo Gallery: ATV Maintenance and Repair - ATV Rider Magazine Read More | Digg It | Add to del.icio.us More...
  5. 3 way tie so far...
  6. I've moved this thread into the general discussion area, to start this conversation up again. As you all know, we have been running photo contests for over 2 1/2 years now. Themes have been recirculating and it has been more and more difficult to come up with new themes. A theme needs to be one that will allow most people to submit an entry...so utility and sport riders could have a chance at the same contest. Having a theme like..."best plow setup" doesn't quite work for sport guys...or best performance shock setup..for the exhaust guys. We are open to having a dual theme that is relitively close and allows for 2 types of entries..if that is something you all want to do. Otherwise, our plan is to just use themes we have before (below) to encourage participation. Below are the themes that we are planning to use in the coming months for 2010. Best Winter Riding ATV Photo Best Mud Picture with ATV ATV/ATC/UTV Best Group Photo Best Landscape with ATV Best Trail Picture with ATV Best Riding Spot with ATV Best Through Water Picture with ATV CRAZY'est ATV photo Best ATV Action Shot We would like to see a good amount of participation and have noticed that over the past 2 1/2 years, these themes seem to get more entries. Most likely because they are relitively easy themes to submit a picture to. Suggestions and Comments are welcome.

  10. Whatever you feel looks the oldest and outdated. It's not a contest of who can post the oldest or outdated machine by date...but who can post a pic of a machine that looks the oldest and outdated, by member vote. If you have a junk quad that looks outdated and old, that may be a good entry to some members.
