  1. I wouldnt think a rotary tiller engine would have enough power to till and drive the ATV wheels very effectively. To drive it , it would just be a matter of fabricating a drive shaft from the tiller PTO to the ATV wheels and a lot of fabrication for mounting wheels to the frame. I would rather use my time to build something fun, once you get the tiller built, then there is work involved.
  2. So what are we up to on the wiring, cut out relay neutral relay and reverse relay, is the new soloenoid working good. I have looked high and low for a free manual for that bike seems to be non existant, the one Mech found seems to be the best.
  3. That looks very good, good find!
  4. My first thought is it might be running too lean by mixture setting or could possibly have an intake manifold leak. Im assuming oil is good and filter changed and getting good oil flow. When it shuts down and its hot will it start back up, Also make sure all your cooling fins are not caked with debris. I dont remember if that model had a cooling fan i dont think it did, but if its there check for proper operation.
  5. Sorry i attached the wrong manual
  6. Good you got it going. Did you have to replace the pump.
  7. I did find this manual not sure if its your year but might help bruin_350.pdf Never throw the OEM carb away, fix it and keep it for a spare if possible.
  8. From what you describe it sounds like someone screwed in in too tight and stripped the last thread and if you pull up on it while turning it will grab the lower threads and screw out, just a thought, it could be that the threads have disintegrated from sitting in the weather for many years and may just pull out if thats the case you can repair the carb with a heliocoil or better option get another one, is this an OEM carb or aftermarket any markings on it.
  9. Looks pretty bad, but the float chamber looks OK, on the mainjet grabit with some vice grips and pull up at the same time you are turning it might grab the threads .
  10. That will work power wise ,check the size requirements needed for the battery tray.
  11. If the lawnmower soloenoid is a 3 post when its mounted it grounds, if its a 4 post it needs a ground from one of the post to operarte correctly. Did you tough the 2 big posts together to see if the starter would rotate. You might check your wiring between the neutral switch and light to make sure its good. If still nothing you might take the neutral switch out and clean it and make sure its working properly. Good work! You have been busy, good your oil pressure and reverse lights work. Its coming together a piece at a time. I would also sqirt some oil in the spark plug hole just to lubricate rings before you turn it over and i always use a 2 stroke oil mix for first crank, just a little oil in the gas to help with lubrication.
  12. Good, thats definately the best option, but i may be wrong about the fitment according to the Ebay ad it says it fits the Big Bear and the Bruin.
  13. As far as aftermarket sprockets i would stick to Japanese, two that come to mind is DID and RK i would also go with steel sprockets , not aluminum, along with an o ring chain.. There is another i have heard good reviews on even though its made in thailand JT sprockets x ring chain, im assuming yours is a 520 chain.
  14. 👍 They both have advantages and disadvantages
  15. This is the air box for the 90 moto4 350 This is the one for the 225 The 350 has a indentation not on the 225 like it sits on a brace hose connections look the same but i cant find anywhere that it tells the physical size of either.
  16. This is kind of funny, i dont use Ebay that much so i dont know all the tricks, but i went on yesterday and looked for an air box for your bike, i think it was the first one i sent you a link to, i didnt know that the sellers were aware of everyone that looks at their parts, today i got a special offer, i have 24 hrs to decide if i want it for 28.95 instead of 29.95, i thought that was kind of comical, he offered it to me for 1.00 less. If i act now. Its for the 225 a very good price, if it would work, it comes with the 2 hoses but missing the top. It actually looks the same as the 350 one, but there may be a size differnce, cant really tell, the hoses also look a little different, but they can be manipulated some.
  17. Its not a perfect fit but could probably be done with a few alterations.
  18. Looking at the compatability chart it says 92 only, but that might just be generated from what the seller put in the ad. This one is for a 90 but he is selling the hoses separatly for 45 each https://www.ebay.com/itm/276476044075?itmmeta=01HZDY4S07CBCXCG9G82BYCMHW&hash=item405f41a32b:g:hsIAAOSwGSdmTPbi&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8F%2FK%2BiDU1fGgxPYcVXQNB2J0OZrsbfaUL%2By%2B9Of5%2FiTf8BnnTxGWFIxHVx1aYqIRyxyC2dV6%2BK1qDbMWQPEvCxc9XBGEP9cQ6n9fmU50jam%2FcI%2BPQ0rKXmtBARAzmrV6To7%2F7%2F6gkm5gp15Nt44m2t98D6qQzSOGWgSOKE2PswPoFdxvuRHWFDuM1RrFhIEFOCSgqQIcrWfTQaQLY9Ldr7GngnC1OWYiE83EPk93KMHOU0FahkjX%2BvXnQZghTzXJLyzGrrnuEliiHQmriVGjozN8zZ7%2FEBYmuuY26BdQuxdG9e%2BN7CRaQMDasDKzvvxHuQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7KQk777Yw
  19. I found this one, a reasonable price with hoses but missing lid. It says its for an 86, the one i found for the 90 had no hoses and was twice the price, just like i figured the hoses go for more than the box. You might look at this one closely to see if you think it might fit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/375407594848?fits=Model%3AMoto+4|Make%3AYamaha&epid=1023342462&itmmeta=01HZDTDY6PQ3KRHX1QBRZWK88Q&hash=item5768094d60:g:lqYAAOSw99RmM4Mw&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8J0kdh8qy9CaqVnttvtJIskH3hYQAn%2BQHPel87EsVYtacqzTaRnr5PFIyvRLn1lwACxcFqaAV09FHv%2Fv--gtT26bXgy3Tk5ivDJF1PptuEyrjY9yL%2BVKvnh%2Bv2WYRCuMpltKwRn6X5BTV5mv8nmhG3C0X%2BUgPqmIBTGztyjzVCqFdKcLTY4ABZHXa%2B7bRGVXjWFQAE2EGvdXggNS2Wb9LzxthACB6EeYZKX0yuNicg2YhpkvxcN13fum81E%2BNvhw9chyHeOCQu1%2FogRmGu2geqyB2iPj048B1fSAupHejXILgp%2Bhp9i9rOWS5TTTmAqn4Q%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8jjt7r7Yw
  20. According to parzilla this is the correct one for 1990 350 Moto 4 it has 2 hose connections, so you would do better to find one on Ebay that comes with hoses.
  21. Good work! Excellent you figured it out this far, not sure if the air box will work on the Moto4, you can go to Partzilla and reference the part # to see if it will fit yours, it says its for the Wolverine in your age group and if it fits all those different models it may work. A little pricy but OEM one is discontinued. You might look on Ebay for a used one that may come with all the hoses you need to connect it.The amazon one dosent come with the hose and believe me they are just as proud of those hoses.
  22. Yes the information is all there all the componets and part numbers, which is a great help, what i was referring to is, i would like to see a drawing or photo of the bike frame in the manual of exactly where the componets are located on the frame , that would be very handy when you get one that the previous owners have yanked everything off, and thats usually what i get. I guess you cant have everything!
  23. I understand your frustration, i looked for the same harness layout when i was rewiring the Big Bear, never found exactly what i was looking for. The closest thing that helps somewhat, is the cable routing section of the manual. It shows a diagram of the frame and where certain componets are located. A little help but not much. What i ended up doing was studying the wiring diagrams to the point of having them memorized, wire colors components and wiring, using the cable routing diagram as a guide, it does show a few electrical components there. Looked at all the U tubes i could find where they were working on the harness and just pieced all this information together to figure it out. I have not used Clymer or Haynes much, but sometimes they have more practical information there and maybe a diagram, that will help, im not sure. I looked a little havent really found a manual for yours yet, mostly i find the one for the 200, yours is the 350, right. So i am still looking i will let you know what i find.
  24. Good you found the leak, Glad to help!
