  3. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!

Its just something the V-twin motor does I believe when pushing for more power. Also, doing wheelies causes oil to go where it necessarily shouldn't and into the combustion chamber.

Make sure your oil is not over filled. Make sure there is no oil in the air box, that motor pushes oil into the air box from what I heard.

  4. Hey guys and gals this is my first post, will a stator from a sportsman 500 fit my explorer, i cant find one anywhere, except for new(300$) i can find a sportsman all over the net. Welcome to the community. Try visiting this link: Polaris ATV Parts Catalogue, then look up the part numbers to see if they are the same.

  5. I am completely new to the ATV world. I was given a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf cause it is having a few electrical problems and a family friend thought I would enjoy the challenge, and I will.

I live in the cities of Minnesota and can't wait till spring so I can actually work on this thing with some kind of heat.

Welcome to the community! Get yourself a manual on that thing, it's help!

  6. That is awesome it is still in one piece. Everything surrounding that event is incredible. Usually everything on the news is negative this was a nice change of pace from all the usual death and destruction.

I agree. I actually know a guy who was on it..turns out. He owns an auto shop not far from me and was flying south to look at a race car engine.

  7. My son is 14 and no he is graduating from a Polaris Predator 90. I am picking some stuff up. I need to sell his to get the money to do the majority of the work but I will be pulling it down this weekend to see what the inside of the cylinder looks like.

Good luck with that. Take some pictures and post them up...

  8. Yeah, it's insane. He landed it on the hudson river after going through a flock of geese and losing his engines. It's all timing...he had the Hudson River there and the ability to think quick. Emergency personel and Ferry Boats were there in a matter of minutes. The captain is an experienced Air Force pilot and is into the art of aviation. He deserves all the praise in making sure he saved all his passengers and crew. That's an Airbus A320 US Airways.
