  1. Yeah if is made for plumbers it's no good.
  2. And while I am venting on pet peeves....When trouble shooting one of the first things is "Tug And Pull " No I am not talking about my hair. I've been around enough construction sites to know how men's minds function.....LOL but tug pull wire terminations. Next look for unstripped wires at terminals. when the plastic is under the terminal you will get no connectivity or worse yet intermittent connectivity. Screw terminals for landing wires is the best (Point to point wiring). I absolutely hate "Punch down Terminal blocks". ( The wire is unstripped and placed over 'V' block and then punched into the V...😡
  3. Good Morning Mt Rainier,WA...."I don't think we are in Florida Toto." Beautiful lush valleys and trails this time of year. It was just awesome . Spread out our blanket and lets just enjoy. No Spanish Bayonet or Sawtooth Palmetto jabbing me just lush flowers. There are ATV trails around but I was just hiking.
  4. Wow a lot of things to play with on my new Foreman...Love the name. BTW What is best security system for : 1. tracking if someone steals it ...Banish the thought. 2. locking system/ tricks so someone does not steal it. Also Honda offers an ATV training course ...its a group thing... Yeah!...meet a lot of cool guys I mean peopple
  5. BTW I will mention it however, I am sure you guys know this but others may not. Do not use water-soluble flux when soldering cu wires. Water-soluble flux will corrode the wires to dust.
  6. On industrial controls high voltage igniter wires laying pressed tight to metal would cause control relay chatter on 120 vac circuits and play hell with low voltage circuits and frequency controllers. You got to love it ...it's like a murder mystery!
  7. BTW Tie Wraps on high VDC ignition leads are bad. Many times guys will 'hog down' on tie wraps pulling the wire tight to metal (its grounded) housing.
  8. Multi pin connectors are usually suspect when you see amps when unit is off...0.05 +-amps probably tolerable. Pulling fuses to reduce /eliminate current is an easy check. Howeve, Multi pin connectors will short out one pin to another and cause bat drain
  9. Use your Fluke meter to check DC amps when machine is off.

    Glad you are here

  11. Hey ..You're the man! LOL get-r -done. its almost Cocktail hour and brutal hot here.
  12. Hey, I am into tearing it up back in the woods...LOL But with the SXS i had to stay on trails and if mud was there we went through it. Got a mud skin treatment free.. With the ATV I can go around the mud holes as it is narrower and will climb steep grades.
  13. I am going to Transport my ATV on small trailer. I am thing of haviving rear wheel fotwad to keep rain etc off front
  14. BTW Bear spray is good but my Canadian friends claim the Air Blaster horns work great and are smaller
  15. Goood Morning Montana! I love that state. I started out from Kalispell and drove north through the Nat park. The roads had just opened. and went to Great falls and eventually Missoula. Varied landscape but stunning . I saw a lot of ATV signs but i was working. Here is a map of just a few ATV OHV. Plan your Fall get-it -together
  16. Yes A1 tires clean well . The ones on my new ATV look better for road travel . Gwbarm said to try them before changing. The tires in single photo are on my SXS. I have had it with a 300 lb stone in it in water / mud. They clean up nicely.
  17. Great question My SXS has aggressive mud tires Maxxis but I too must travel 1/2 mile on paved road to get to the rear of property. The terrain is too rough to travel cross country back there. But my new Foreman ( love the name) has what looks like light A1 agricultural tread. I am going cross county to the back so I'll see how that tread does. I have got out of some deep mud with the Maxxis SXS
  18. yes in my truck it is ok but traveling in My Highlander i use the reciever rack for gas.
  19. here it is...lot of things to play with...winch is poly rope
  20. Yo're back! glad you are here...
  21. how far are you from SC border...There are a lot of private ATV's there.
  22. The string across the bow i used to make sure the tips of the bow were in line with the middle of the bow as I applied clamps to bend the limbs back to normal. Th is recurve rated at 50 lb. I have a cheap 35 lb fiberglass that I have a fishing spool attached to. I have two Compounds I use a trigger release. My bedroom is a duck managerie. I was into painting decoys.
  23. BTW...Arrows and Knives penetrate BP vests... Herewith is a beautiful recue Bow. A friend sat it in a closet for years. te tip wasnbent over from sitting on the tip. He gave it to me and I took it to an archery store. The guy said it was useless as if you string it it woul break when pulled back. I rigged up a frame to hold it and put tension to twist it back in shape. It sat for a couple years. The string on it I used to make sure the tips were in line . Now it is back to its original shape. I made a new string for it and it draws fine.
  24. Being a struggling State economically they very aggressive in Tourism They have thousands of ATV and SXS trails on State parks. However, Non Ethanol fuel is spotty in WV...I only run Non Ethanol gas in small motors...So I transport fuel a lot. However, now is the time to plan the fall outing...summer is waning!
