Yep. And for only a 250 its FAST, easily faster then my 450.

I just was, but i think it needs a new spark plug and probably a carb clean and new gas because its being rather picky to start although it runs fine once you get it started.

Right now im listening to def leppard, im not a fan of the new hip hop rap stuff, i mostly like classic rock and a bit of metal and some dubstep.

Me and my dad just picked up this 2005 CRF250R yesterday, i think we got a good deal at $2100, it runs great and everything and all i think it really needs is a valve adjust and cleaning the airfilter. Its a little weird getting on a bike again after riding a quad for a while and it takes a bit of getting used to, but its nice to have a bike and a quad thats for sure!

I think a better question is what mods HASN'T he done to it

I would say go for it then, these 450's are so addicting! All you will ever wanna do is ride haha

That 450 looks like its probably worth about $2000-$2500 or maybe a little more depending on where you are. And if it runs well i would say go for it although it doesn't sound like it would be a vary fair straight trade if your harley is really worth 4-5k..

Well its a 1st gen TRX450R (so 2004 or 2005) which are both good years and have fairly reliable motors, it looks like almost everything is stock besides the pro armor nerf bars and bumper, and im guessing the engine is also mostly stock because it still has the stock exhaust system. How much is your motorcycle worth that you are trading?

Sounds pretty cool, but it looks like this place is about 2 hours from where i live so i probably wont be able to make it this sunday. Maybe some other time though

Next im planning on a new linkage and then i need to get my shocks re built. @DirtDemon i only weigh about 170lbs so the stock shocks are fine for now, i just had to bump up the pre load a bit but i can still go much farther if i need too. Im going to see if we can make it to CORE, dont know yet though

Heres some pictures of my TRX450R after i got it all back together today, still need a grab bar though. I was just riding it around a while ago and WOW being 50" wide made a huge difference, definitely worth the money. And the new tires are SO much better then the stock ones, i feel like i actually have control over the quad haha. Also you can see me and my brothers moto-4 225 in the pics, we have beat the #$&! out of this thing and it just keeps on chugging! gotta love detuned utility atvs lol, plus we got it for free and it just needed 1 piece welded and a seat cover, which we made out of a old golfcart seat

I already have a rekluse Z-start and it works perfectly, All i need now is the clutch basket. Maybe rekluse stuff just hates other brands besides honda

Im trying to mod my stock one, by doing the same thing that rekluse does with their basket by drilling the studs out so i can separate the gear from the basket and then threading the basket so i can bolt it back together and then ill put some shims next to the rubber dampeners to stop the wobble

And most of the people i have talked to say the hinsons wear out really fast because of what they are made of I heard the rekluse basket is actually vary good, i guess we have been talking to vary different people lol.

Well the bolt in the axle is still stuck in there lol, but i have some plans to get that out, and the clutch basket is really REALLY loose on the clutch gear and was making noise, so i ether need to get a new one like a rekluse basket or somehow mod mine to stop the wobble. And then i just have to put it all back together :3

Once i get my 450 fixed we should all go riding!
