  1. I havent done the throttle cable adjustment yet as I didnt really understand it, but I will look in the manual again tonight when I get home. I have the pilot jet at 2 1/2 turns, but I just noticed that the needle jet isnt clipped in like it is suppose to be. Im going to fix that when I get home from work tonight. Thank you for your response as it made me look a little harder and now might have the solution.
  2. Thanks, im still open to giving it a shot. Dont mind jumping right in helping. I have looked for a good forum for ATV's and this is in my opinion. I like the fact that everyone seems to be on several times a week and willing to help. Found one that I posted a couple threads on and no response for almost 3 weeks. I know that I will be on this site at least once a day if not more. Thanks to the person who put it together.
  3. Just from the experience I had with mine putting fuel in the intake box, I would pull the bottom of your carb and make sure your float isnt sticking. May want to pull the carb and clean it. Make sure to pull the jets and take a small piece of wire (bread wrapper) and clean in each one and then blow it out with the compressor.
  4. Got a question and hopefully find some help. I have a 95 Timberwolf 250 that I picked up and it didnt want to idle. I have rebuild the carb with new kit replacing all the jets and float seat. Blew out the ports with the air compressor after I soaked the carb and cleaned the ports with a fine piece of wire and it still wont idle on its own. Has new air filter. I had it running and sprayed around the carb and carb joint and didnt get a rapid acceleration as if I had a leak. I read somewhere how the standard jets are like a number #40 and people have replaced them with a bigger jet. I called the local dealer here and they said they cant order jets and was wondering if this could be the problem and if so where can you order them at. Any info/help is highly appreciated. Sorry for being so long, just want to get as much info out as I can.
  5. I have only been riding a couple of months and after reading some of the other post on this thread I should probably wait and down the road if you still need some moderators then be considered. I do like to help any way I can...... just did a typical guy thing and jumped in.....lol.....
  6. Just wanted to pop in and say hello and really looking forward to what seems a great active forum. My name is Craig and I live in Pensacola and just got back into four wheeling. Originally from Dugger Indiana.
