hahahaha i no tht feelin i climbed a hill 2 days ago and couldnt get between 2 trees.... i only have front brakes so it went down faster than i wanted it to the ex took out 2 trees on the way back down scared the crap outa me lol:aargh:

  2. hey thanks my friend has the 2005 honda 450 he wants $2000 for it do they have reverse?? im really liking the looks of the kfx tho its prolly gonna be between the 2

They dont have reverse i wouldnt let tht be wat sways u towards the kfx im not sayin they r a bad quad i like the way they look but i have friends tht own them and they say they wont ever buy one again not reliable enough..... just because the 450 doesnt have reverse doesnt make them bad i have an 02 400ex and it doesnt have reverse and i have only once or twice wished tht i had reverse its not tht big of a problem....... u can look at it this way if u ride trails it just shows ur a better rider if u never get in a spot where u need reverse

  3. as far as the outlaw goes i wouldnt get it.... sur it has pretty good power and the independent is pretty cool for trails but it sucks wen it comes to balls to the wall i no this cause a friend of mine has one and i have drove it a lot... if ya want reverse the kawasaki is a good choice im not realy a fan but if u like them i would get it..... the yfz is also a good choice...... i would recomend a trx450r they r real fast up top with tons of torque.... with good expirience ridin trails they would be good for tht also...... oh and its the truth tht u cant beat the reliability of a honda 450 they r very reliable!!

  4. I prefer my 50cc Honda Elite scooter with a paddle on the back. Make it up in no time :-D.

I have a question. What do you do when your swing arm keeps getting hooked on the middle hump on the top of hill climbs?

hahahahahaha....... i ussually dont have tht problem but i did once on a real steep hill with cliff rock at the top....sometimes im able to rock the ex a lil where it will catch and then other times my backend slides round aand gets traction and pulls me the rest of the way over the hill......

  5. well its all about setup an rider experence ... i have rode both .. an it depends on how your riding style is an how you set them up for hill climbs .. i have several trophies for hill climbs .. an its not always the bigger motor that wins .. the rider an setup really mater on who has the fastest run up the hill ..not just the biggest motor ...

ahh i see... so either u like to go up quickly or u like to take it easy but still make it.... thanks

  6. it actually weighs more than my 05 450R

wow!!.... of course ya might be tru with stock but reduced axle wieght and discs and diff things might be lil diff..... the ones i watched were set up to be lightwieght with bore kits and all those goodies

  7. nope !!! maybe a stock 450

i like 450s im gonna buy one wen i turn 16.... 400s are my fav though first thing i ever drove..... and yes it might be a stock 450 not sur but the wieght diff is wat would make the 400 quicker... i personally have watched some 450s modded put up against bored stroked 400s and they just dont have near as much take off power... unless uneeded wieght is taken away tht is

  8. Yea i bet the 440 kits biggest problem is that they over heat !!!! to get to 500 your gonna be stroking it and a huge bore !!! CK 1999 is the guy to ask !! on a 450R your runnin a +3 crank and 100mm bore and big time head work comes out to 511 or so !!

Ya the kit came with bigger pistons stroked cam crank and a bunch of other stuff.... oh and so basically bottom line is keepin it from overheating if you can do tht the bore kits in general arent to big of an issue
