I put new carb on a keihin got out in the woods thought we suck some dirt in it. Got it home still running but poor, quit running all together. Cleaned all out put back on. Float working right so is everything else seems to be anyhow not getting any fuel for it to fire you can choke do everything wont fire pull plug out its dry after you thought you flooded it.  You can pour a little gas down plug hole put plug back in and it fires. Any help or ideas would be great thanks.

So it sounds like if you give it fuel it fires, but its not getting fuel from the carb? Check the lines, is fuel getting into the carb? Something has to be up with the carb fuel delivery or you have some kind of choke issue.

Sottie, did you ever get this figured out?

Have you checked the fuel valve (petcock) ?

Make sure fuel is flowing from the tank.

If that does not work then I would think your fuel is not entering the the carb where the float needle is. I know it sound repetitive but you missed something. Go back blow everything out and double check.  Main and pilot jets all clear ?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

As the 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, got underway with back-to-back Florida AMA Pro only events, it was evident that Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick picked up where he left off last season.View the full article

I have a 2002 Kawasaki Prairie KVF 400 and im trying to figure out the actual float height... i have read 17mm +- 2mm, seen 13mm and 23mm... what is happening is it will start right up, rev a little and all is fine, when it warms and you put a load on it bogs down and sputters. no i don't have a manual

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.
