the kawi is the slowest of all the 450's ...go with the rappy its the best trail ride out there..has tones of power and is very reliable...fuel injection is awesome for cold starts ...trust me it will never let you down...if your someone that likes to ride fast the 700 is for you...you never have to screw around with jetting your carbs or worring about dirty carbs...hop on it and go...450's are higher maintanence as they are designed for racing...

I would like to know what makes the 450s more troublesome to maintain. And the valve adjustment argument won't work. The trx doesn't call for a valve job until about 250 hours.

i never said they are troublesome ///...simply just higher maintanace...being a high strung engine theres alot more wear and tear when it comes to racing it ...in most cases you'll rebiuld a 450 b4 a 700r...depending on the rider...for some the 450's never let them down tho...i guess it all depends on how you treat your bike...thats all i was trying to say i guess i should have clarified...lol:shocked:

good enough..i know alot of people trash the 450's...i like them...my next bike will probably be a 450 but i want a efi...so hopefully in a few years yamaha makes the yfz a efi because im a yami boy...i just like the quality and reliability of my yami.

What really impresses me about 450's is how much smaller cc wise they are but they can still keep up with the big bores like the 700r...

My friends KQ 300 starts fine and runs, as soon as you put it in gear and try to accelerate its bucks and farts like crazy, not moving... I cleaned carb and it worked good for 1 day... now back to same problem.... could it be such as a bent valve????

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

Bucking started about a month ago and works ok after 1/2 hour warmup.  Today while working on it i discovered that if i put the ignition switch in LIGHT position it runs fine right from the start.
I'm stumped!  Any idea why this could be?
