Suzuki King Quad 300 Slow Running

I have just ordered a Suzuki King Quad 300 which should be here this week - it is described as "with slow running needing attention"  I am as a matter of course going to put a new spark plug in, change the oil and oil filter and blow out the air filter with compressed air - anything else I should consider?  Also, the headlights do not work - I want to change them out for LED ones anyway though.

Is that king quad 300 an older one with the shift levers? I would do what you mentioned and just check it all out. If they have it in low gear, it'll be slower and its not really the fastest quad out there if I remember correctly. But a great workhorse and sites lower.

Oil the filter when your done blowing out the air filter. AutoZone or comparable should have the oil for it.

Check for air leaks. And screw in your idle screw to get the rpms up

As far as running slow. Adjust the idle screw on the carb.
