Well here are some more pictures of the quad before we tore it down, and part of the transformation. As you can see the quad is beat up and quite rusty. Right now we have everything off the frame and the frame partly sanded down. A few more days we will be ready to paint the frame. We did finally get the swingarm off. We had to cut it. This is gonna look great when done.

STAY TUNED I will have more pictures soon.:yes:

I can't wait to see what you do with it. I wish I had the time and wanted to put in the effort to tear mine completely down. I hope to have mine back together this week. My exhaust should be on the way.

yeahhhhh I remember that feeling when I ripped apart my pit bike and redid it!!!!

You gotta bent steering stem??

yupper it is indeed bent, also what we found is we needed a whole bunch of new nuts and bolts, i needed new heel guards and they come with new foot pegs. Need back brake pads. Need a new left front caliper because a pin was stuck in the old one and my man tried so hard but it wasnt budging. Needed a new swing arm and all the bolts, needs new bearings everywhere, a few plastics were bad, the headlight mount was broken off the frame so that needs welding. New clutch lines.

Some extras im puttin on.....some black plastic on the gas tank cover and the hood, nerfs, a bumper, new paint of course, handgaurds, new clutch lever, some yamaha graphics, and i think thats it haha, it is takin a while but it will be worth it. :)

You hang in there girlie. I just got my exhaust yesterday and hope to have mine running this weekend. You will be really happy with the way it turns out but I understand your anxiousness. :ola:

Hey wheeler did you do the work on it ??? It looks good :cute:

My honey and I worked on it together, it was my first project. Really had no clue what I was doing.........it took an entire weekend and then some of the next week.....I know what you mean about being frustrated...I'm sure it made me cry more than once cause I was so frustrated at times...but, when it's done, and you see how pretty it is afterwards, you're like.......well that was worth it all...and it's all mine.

Promise.:wink::cute:

wow i wish mine was done that quick, we have had so many complications and had to order so many parts, its been a few weeks now and we are almost ready to paint. My man is so good at this stuff, i have no idea either, for him its second nature, for me its no fun lol. But it will be done and i will be soo happy, and yes yes i have shed a few tears myself lol.

I kinda went through that too...and when it was done I decided that I liked doing projects like that afterall............when you see the finished product you're like, woah, I did that!!! And then you begin to figure out what else you can tear apart and "fix" lol......

drtygrl: diggg the yellow :) just a question...why'd you change the color? To be different?? I changed my stuff because nearly every honda has got red on it and I, in all honesty, thought the quad was fugggggglyyy hahhaah:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I gott tell u guys, it is sooo much work to tear these things down, i get so frusterated and poor zac is like...whats wrong. Its alot of work and very nerve racking, i cant wait for it to be done. :aargh::yes:

Try having to tear into a fairly new one.....04 YFZ450's had all kinds of problems with the first batches......waterpump problems, charging problems, cranks siezing up.....been through all of it but it was all worth it because now I know it inside and out

Sorry, I'm not DrtyGrl but I have an answer for you!

We changed colors for a couple of reasons. Just about every Rhino around here looks the same. The full Bore body kit has a way more aggressive look to it. She wanted pink!(thank god they don't make pink plastics) She also has a 4 point harness that I mounted for her. We're are slowly turning it into a race machine.

The next thing we will do is probably a K & N filter. After that will be the super chip. Once we get our toy hauler we will consider the long travel A arms. It won't fit in our current trailer if I make it any wider.

This is some C.O.R.R. SxS racing practice.

Yep, there were way too many blue Rhinos out there. :aargh: I wanted to stand out for sure!!!

Hello everyone, I have a 92 honda trx350 I just picked up that has a bent section of the frame where the rear of the seat would clip into place. It almost looks like a tree or something heavy fell on it. Its a fairly deep bend, if that makes sense. It like a V instead of straight. What are peoples goto methods for straightening a section like that?

I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem.
I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.
      Thank you for your time
      Bill

I have replaced the cracked stator cover on my non-running 2006 LT-F400F that I purchased recently, checked all the shafts vs the service manual and pics and advice here.  I replaced missing gears, bushings and washers, made sure that truth marks were all aligned properly, that the shift cam springs felt like they returned properly, etc.  IAfter installing the new stator cover I checked the transfer lever for proper movement from L-H-R and then cranked it up.  Happily, it runs and changes gears well in L,  but it will not shift into H or R for anything.  I have opened it back up and am going back through it looking for the missing puzzle piece(s) but how can I best check that I have everything right this time before buttoning it back up?

Recently rebuilt front end on this Polaris 400. New axles, bearings, seals, control arm bushings, Hilliard clutch thoroughly cleaned and inspected with no damage noted.
Everything put back to together. Placed bike on jack stands all four wheels off the ground, started in 2 WD switched to AWD both front tires spinning, when AWD turned
off right front wheel will not disengage from AWD. Checked voltage at connectors both left and right connectors have no voltage with AWD switch off, and both have 12.4V
when AWD switch is turned on. Repeated turning switch on and off several times with no change in condition. I am thinking this must be something mechanical with the
Hilliard clutch on the right hub ie. weak spring or stuck rollers on the Hilliard clutch assembly (Is this a logical thought?) any ideas on trouble shooting this before I disassemble the
      right front hub again

Has anyone had experience with the installation of the Optional RH Side Panel Close Off Kit as shown as p/n 2207445 which is supposed to help control the heat on the right side on my legs?  Right now that panel is wide open with excess heat on my leg.
