2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 eps vibration

I have a 2016 sportsman 570 eps And have a vibration around 25mph, goes away around 30, then comes back around 45 to WOT. I've heard of the motor mounts being bad but have had it to the dealership and they say nothing appears to be worng. Anyone else have this issue and fixes please.

Honestly sounds like a bent or improperly balanced drive shaft or axle.

This may sound weird but you can check all the axles and shafts for a bend but it’s a pain in the as*.  I’ve checked drive shafts and axles for bends by getting the wheels off of the ground so they all spin free. I took a piece of 1/2 inch copper pipe that’s two feet long and drilled a small hole through the pipe at the end. I stuck a 3 inch long screw into the pipe all the way  through so the last 2-1/2 inches are sticking out the other side of the pipe. 

I took the pipe and placed it where I can clamp it to the frame of the bike and the screw is close to and pointed at the shafts your looking at. 

The screwtip should be  just under a 1/4 inch from any axle your looking at. Rotate the wheels by hand so the axle spins and see if the shaft gets closer to the screw tip or even hits it.  If it does mark that spot with a marker.  

In addition to and before going through all of this you should start by looking for any obvious damage to the shafts first.

If so it came from the factory like that. Dealership had it for the 20Hr checkup and that's when I asked about it. Only has 60 hours on it now. Seems worse to me but I don't drive the Sportsman much, got it for family members. I drive a Yamaha Raptor 95% of the time. Absolutely no vibration on the Yamaha. Thanks for the reply.

I would bring it right back in and explain and let them ride it. My guess is a balance issue or like I said someone maybe went over something like a rock etc. 

Have you checked all the rims and tires including the inside for any damage ?

Yup, no damage to the rims, jacked it up and checked, looks ok to me. Went on a trip to northern Wisconsin last weekend, my buddy has the same quad, before I could ride his to compare, his cousin hit a tree and rolled it, bend A-arm, broke wrist 2 spots. 100 miles on the quad. Crappy luck.

That sucks!! It’s a bi*** when them trees jump out in front of you! Hope he’s ok.  Well if it’s a constant thing then the dealer should feel and be able to address it. 
 

How was the trip to Wisconsin, trails  good ?

We have a cabin in Dunbar, trails were awesome Saturday, weather in the 60s. Did around 150 miles. Rain all day Sunday, some on Monday. They do a great job on the trails with all the water the have had.

Also have this going on. Under warranty so the dealership can figure it out. Just trying to research the multiple issues before I take it in.

Injector 1 current below normal or grounded. People having issues with the injector harness.

Wow that’s some great pics and cool machines. That check engine light is on the same Polaris? No code comes up.

Yup. Same machine. 651-5 code. Only shows till u turn the machine off. Resets when you turn it back on. Hopefully it stays in the memory for the dealership.

Can’t see the video.  I did a quick search on that problem and the remedy seems to be a replacement plug/harness. Looks like the injector plug and about 10 inches of wire that comes with a splice kit. Sound right to you?

@Frank Angerano I can see it on desktop, although might be an issue if you are on a phone.

@Jim Horst nice video and picks. I would have to agree, maybe be a balancing issue, shaft or rims. No caked on mud or anything inside the rims right? Have these tires ever been dismounted and mounted?

Yes sir. Harness is about 50.00, that's what my deductible is. I would fix it but it will cost the same and I want th ore vibration issue looked at also.

Only 800 trail miles on the machine. 4 trail riding trips. not fond of mudding, thorough cleaning after every ride. No built up mud in/on rims. I get harrased about my clean equipment by the guys I ride with all the time.

Absolutely have them fix it. But print out some of the recall and problems posted on line and bring that with you.  If you touch the wiring they will void your warranty.
