Check  service manuals or online for recommended oil for the engine, differentials  and transmission.  They  don't have to be Polaris branded. Synthetic oils in the weights and types recommended are best   since they  remain  much more fluid in  very cold weather than mineral  oils do.

Hello. New guy here. First time 4 wheeler owner. This may have been discussed somewhere but I can’t seem to put in the right words to do a proper search. Hoping someone can help. I have a 2000 Yamaha big bear 400 2WD. There is what appears to be an oil fill hole next to the pull cord. The cap has no dipstick.  What fluid goes in that and how do I drain it?
*the other side has a dipstick for the oil. I don’t want to put something in that could cause an issue. Thanks in advance.

Was given an old moto 4 350 a while back and got it running but had problems with the sub trans being stiff, so stiff the we have broken the shift lever off of it and was just trying to find info about possible lockouts and any info to free it up and get it working again. It's currently in high and is moving around find but would eventually like reverse back

Hi ; I been having a problem figuring out if theres a special way the transmission gears on my daughters 08 Polaris outlaw 90 {Automatic Trans} I put  it all together and the gears all mesh  correctly it goes into all gears F/N/R but when I try to put the shifter into the  shift gate it will only go into foward and neutral  because the travel is shorter  is a certain way the gears are set ?  I would apprieciate any help you guys can give to me, it rides  perfectly but w/o the shift gate attached im afraid I'll be rebuilding the thans sooner than I think

Since I am new to having a quad I am looking as to how you check the oil and transmission   I have a 1998 Suzuki king quad  4wd  engine is a 280. I have found a plug at the back of it that says 10 w 40 on it. And a site glass up under front of back wheel on right side.  And looks like there is a plug above it.  Now do I put  the oil in the back plug till it starts to run out  or somewhere else to check it  site glass seems a little far from it.  Or site glass maybe for transmission.  Thx for any help
