Hello People-
I'm working on a 2015 Tactic 800. I need to get at the mid shaft diff to replace the key on the output shaft, under the Y output crown gear. Has anybody been in there? I was hoping to remove the housing without pulling the tranny. I've pulled the tranny before and it was a bear to get out & in. That part of the tranny with just a 1/4" x 1" key stock seems a little week to me, is there anything I can do to beef it up?
Any help would be appreciated!!

Hello everyone, this is one of my first posts here 😃 , im having some trouble with the kids bike, no spark. What i measured so far at the CDI is:
Shutoff wire works ok
It has ground
It has connection to the ignition coil.
Pickup coil measures 325 ohm
Source coil measures 393 ohm
The ignition coil seems fine when i measure it. new sparkplug too. Flywheel spins and the key is in place.
Havent found a service manual for the champ so checked the pickup coil and the source coil values in a yamaha badger manual.
Is the cdi a common problem on these old machines? And where can i get a new cdi? Used ones i can get from ebay, but i have kids in different ages so i got like 10+ more years of use for it 😃

SO I'm riding along, on a paved road, going like 25-30mph and outta nowehere, she shuts down and has good resistance upon "coasting" still in gear (Hi). I come to a a stop and try the starter: Absolutely nothing. Shes locked up tighter than a drum. The ODD part is, after looking it over visually, I see the top of the motor transmission/cfrank area has oil. It must have come from the seam between the case halves.
Does this scenario exist, or am I the one in a zillion?
