I'm just wondering what made everyone choose the machine they did. For me, the TRX450 was the most comfortable. I'm 6'2", all the other 450's I felt very cramped on. I've been a fan of Honda forever so it was my first choice. However I did sit on all the others and they did not feel right.

Bought my Ozark because I'm a Suzuki fan, Did not look like a box (like the 02 Recon) and could only afford to spend 3500. Was hoping to up grade to the Vinson but, Suzuki messed that up. Looks like 400 BigBear next.

Honestly?

I took the advice of an ATV club.....to repeat myself....I know nothing about quads and just started riding in 2007 at the age of 44.....

I love the Kawi when I'm WOT (for me at least! LOL!) flat riding and just tooling around the trails, but I think I may have been better off with a King Quad or Grizzly for the rock/hill climbing and off-camber areas.

I used to ride a Kodiak 450, so I wanted something more powerful.

Affordability, bang-for-your-buck, V-Twin power, and the huge aftermarket were all reasons why I bought a Brute. If the Grizzly was less expensive, I would have considered it, but money was the main factor in my purchase. IRS was also something I needed; I had it on my Kodiak and knew that a solid axle was not for me after riding my dad's Brute Force SRA. Also, my dad had his Brute Force 650 SRA since about the time it came out and hasn't had any major problems, so I figured the 650i would be the same: a trouble-free, relatively inexpensive powerhouse.

The bottom line was that nothing else offered as much value as the Brute.

My first "Lakota 300" because someone I knew was selling it and I could afford it. The LT250R because I wanted a two stroke and 250Rs and Banshees were too expensive.

I had no clue what I was doing. LOL. Used to ride dirt bikes. Never rode a quad. I was on my way to buy a car. Stopped by Hillsboro Moto Sports. My '05 Honda TRX450 was on sale for $4999. I had 6 grand in my pocket and thought it looked cool. Since then, I have become totally addicted to quading. I have two of them now. An '05 and an '07.

i choose the ex cause, i didnt like the way the z400 seat was so high up(uncomfable as hell) , i was thinkin bout the 450s but we only hade enuf cash for the honda 450r. i wanted reverse because i have high expactation of racing XC and MX, the 400 can be bored to beat a 450 that has minor upgrades. which is all a 15 yr old needs

and the 4hundy was famous for bein easy to work on

The ltz250 was my first quad and then I switched to KQ450 and love it. I liked the dependablity of the kq and the 450 is plenty cc's for me and riding Michigan trails.

My wife aunt and uncle had two 2003 warriors and they would only sell them in pairs. They used them to go camping, tow them with their rv. I got both warriors and hauler for 5,000. They were in excellent conditions, factory tires and I bet they did not have 5 tanks of gas ran through them.

I bought them in April of 08.

Sweet pic! What is it about the trikes that draw you to them? I understand that's what you grew up on but what about them. I like the looks of the sporty racing trikes. That right there is enough to draw my eyes. There is nothing like the the old Honda 250 with the crazy wide axle. It looks sick. I would kill myself on a trike.

What Draws me to a Trike.....Well,,,,,Not everyone has one....Look around....Seems like Everyone has a TRX450,YFZ,Etc, Etc,, I feel comfortable on Trikes....Its a Bit more of a Challenge sometimes...Try a Trike in a Quad Rut Sometime:aargh:....LOL!!! Also,,,,Im just Stubborn:laugh: Ive never been on a Quad really other than my Wifes,,,I think I might have 5 min. on hers.....Quads Are Dangerous....That False sense of Security with the 4th wheel thing scares me..

I still remember being5,6,7 years old on that beast with no front suspension and the GIANT bubble tires. I think the trikes you have posted pics of are sweet. I think that some of those old trikes look way better than the modern quads. Perfect examplem Dune Raider is one of the sickest rides I've ever seen although I do love the old red white and blue hondas. Or the old tecate.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

was thinking most of us on this forum would have another ride, so to get the ball rolling...........
MY MAX 4 6X6 2009, now this will actually go anywhere including across the water. In the 3rd photo I had gone up the river about 30 meters then climbed up the bank, 6X6 owners call it "swimming"

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!
