Has anyone used this oil in their ATV, if so what do you think of it. Went to Wal-Mart again today to buy some oil, this is all they had that was JASCO certified.

I generally run 10w40 but since this engine had been sitting so long and had water in it I thought I would get the thicker stuff to help get everything good and coated with heavy oil, run for a while and change later, I thought it was a good price on it 6.50 qt as cheap as super tech, bought all they had 4 quarts, went in yesterday and they had replenished the stock, and its now 9.95 qt. my mobile 1 I buy for my cars has gone up 10.00 a 5 qt jug, oil is really increasing in price, and I don't go to Walmart that much but looking around everything has substantially increased in price.

I recently went to Walmart for oil for a customers ride didn't have anything, but I did find 10/ 40 and 10/50 diesel oil heavy duty . Walmart brand and was cheaper than any oil out there .bought a gallon for my own atv will post updates on oil later on. Told customer they said they will just go to dealer to get their oil.  As for me working on tractors for a living before retirement I think they are a little more demanding on oil.  Just observation of 30 years of mechanic work.

If you're saying that tractors these days have fancy and complicated oils, then I agree..  Out of all the machinery I've worked on, tractors have the most particular and demanding oil requirements.

Yes sir ,just was looking at for a cheaper alternative than atv oil or said type. Actually I worked on ford new Holland tractors for a out 18 years and before that at various lawnmower and ATV shops when I was younger. Things have gotten better but with that I remember fuel at 85 cents a gallon also. Will post later on my test. Of how the oil will hold up.

KP which oil did you buy at Walmart for your ATV. My Walmart the shelves were pretty bare, but they did have Rotella T5 and T6 diesel oil, I wasn't sure if that was good enough For ATV.

The brand purchased was regular Walmart brand, researched it online has about the same additives ect as most brand name tractor oil at about 17 $ a gallon just can't beat it.  But will it hold up will see soon.

Always have used Castrol in all my cars trucks ect.

I have not used the supertech oil from Walmart, but I did buy the prime brand that Sams sells, I use it in my lawnmowers, didn't really notice any difference, may have burned a little more oil, it did seem thinner and clearer than other oils.

I just bought a 1984 Suzuki LT185 ATV and am looking for the OWNER’S manual. ( not a service manual)
I contacted Suzuki Canada but they have no paper or digital copies in their archives.
Does anyone possibly have a digital copy they’d be willing to share?

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.

Who agrees with me that Yamaha atv quailty was one of the best well built quailty machines money could buy, then 2007 came rolling in and they have gone to complete sh**. Cutting corners everywhere they can and made such unreliable machines
