Jetting Specs

THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE AND I HAVENT EVEN GOT IT YET,

i dont know what i will have to rejet to after i put the intake and CDI on.

will these items come with jetting specs?

if i call a shop can they help me find out which jets to run?

I would say a shop would be the best bet.

What Intake???? Usually a Pipe will come with Jetting Specs......A shop will point you in the Right Direction but Dialing it in will be up to you..You will have to find it if you have the time....But I have posted several times on here a VERY good Website on Jetting......Do a Search......

Start out with a NEW PLUG......

Fire it up,,,,,,,Haul As*(Wide Open) Through about 3rd Gear....Pull in Clutch and Kill it.....Coast to Stop.....Pull Plug,,,,,Read it......Then you will be able to tell if you need to Rejet.....

When I put the Pro Circuit pipe on the CR, we didn't have to rejet. It just opened it up like crazy.

Never tried with an Auto.....

Try starting out with a Fresh Plug....Run it Wide Open for about 300 Ft. then Kill it.....

Pull and Read.....

Whats cheaper, breaking into a plug to see how the bike is running or replace the piston 3 times in one month because it was running too lean? I need to learn to let go.

The CDI should not effect the jetting. That just changes rev limiter and ignition curve.

I would wait and put the pipe and intake on at the same time. Jet once.

but the CDI says that it will get better gains with a high flow jet kit.

I could be wrong. Well, I guess with a stronger, longer spark I guess you could add a bit more fuel to the equation.
