Extended Forum Style Added!

Recommended Posts

We've added an Extended Forum Style, that you can switch to if you prefer the extended forum look for the front page of teh forums. It will take away the right column and shoutbox. It will however give you a drop down of sub forums.

Towards the bottom of the main forum page: ATV Forum » QUADCRAZY ATV Forums you will see a layout chooser box, dropdown.

Enjoy!

I like the sub forum drop down, but you loose the shoutbox. Maybe a link to it?

i like the shoutbox!

You can keep using the current style, We'll probably just add a shoutbox link in the extended style.

We've made a decision to make the extended style the "default" style. It provides for easier navigation through our sub-forum structure.

The past style, with the shoutbox in the right column, along with the new post ticker, is still available. It's been named "QUADCRAZY Shoutbox Layout". You can switch to it by scrolling to the bottom of the page and looking on the left side for the stylechooser drop down box. The system will remember that you picked that style for as long as you have not cleared your browser histiory.

We also added a shoutbox link in this style. It's in the second navigation bar at the top left. It will open up a pop-up window, as long as you have pop-ups enabled and are logged in.

If it does not open, make sure you allow pop-ups for this site.

Well, we've changed it a bit today again. We've expanded the width of the forum and entire site a bit, which allowed us to go back to the shoutbox in the right column of the main page and have our sub forums viewable.

The style selector now shows the default view, no-sub forum view, and extended view.

So i have an old yamaha bear tracker that was given to me from an old farmer I know. I decided to refurbished it and fix all the quick fixes on it. I am pretty sure that it is either a 1999 or 2000 based upon the original wiring harness. Little did i know when I bought a new to me wiring harness from ebay that it was from a 2003 or 2004. My question to everyone is do I need to have all the stop switch assemblies hooked up? I think there are three on the 03/04 models and only one on the 1999 to 2000. Any help I can get for this would be great. I haven't run it yet due to the motor and crankcase is in two totes.

My father-in-law gave my boy a 1999 350 Big Bear. It's been sitting in a barn for a bunch of years. It runs great! My boy has been riding a couple weeks now and it has developed a squeal coming from the front end when you get off the gas at speed. No noise during acceleration. At first I thought brakes. I took it for a ride and I don't think it is the brakes. I feel it is the front prop shaft U-joints, front differential or one/both axles. I pulled the fill plug on the differential and I can't find anywhere how much gear oil should be in there. My gut says up to the fill opening. It doesn't have a manual. It's wet in there, just don't see any gear oil.

#1 Should I fill the differential with gear oil up to the fill opening?

#2 How do I check or know if the u-joints are bad? That looks like a "Big Bear" of a job if they don't need to be replaced.

#3 What else could it be? I don't think it is the front bearings. I jacked the front wheels off ground and no play in the right wheel. Very little play in the left wheel, looks like the lower control bushing is where that play is coming from. The rubber CV boots look original but all still intact. Wheels spin easily without any noise.

      Thanks for any help!

If you're getting that pesky leaky seal on the pinion of your front differential and the pinion has allot of play, polaris won't sell the bushing needed to repair it properly without having to shell out big bucks for the complete ring and pinion kit.
I have a kit with an upgraded bushing, Japanese made bearing and USmade seal
50 shipped in the US and 55 to Canada

We are trying something new to shorten the post size lengths a bit by defaulting to a collapsed mini profile within the posts. By clicking on the link below the member profile photo within a topic, you can expand the mini member profile. Feedback is welcome.
