Thanks everybody. Actually had some trouble on my first ride. Started bogging and smoking. Oil looked foamy and airbox had alot of oil in it. Pushed it up on the trailer and took it back to the dealer. After a long night of research, and finding quite a few similar happenings, I think somehow it got overfilled with oil, and saturated the air filter/intake. Dealer changed the oil and cleaned the filter/intake tract - (while I watched, I do not trust my local dealer) - we ran it around the lot some, and then I ran it 30-40 mins more once home (pouring rain/freezing cold) and it has not repeated. The only thing that's still got me confused is that the original oil was very green. I'm pretty sure it's not coolant as I've not lost any, and it didn't have the smell. Dealer suggests that Kawi could be using a different oil. Oil looks fine since the change. I plan on calling Kawi to ask about this and to make them aware of what happened. Anybody else heard of this sort of thing? Thanks again.

I don't plan any sort of performance mods, this thing has way more power than what I need! I will upgrade the tires when they're shot for sure. They might as well be slicks! Kawi gipped us on the tires no doubt. Other than that just a winch (got the $69.00 deal) and upgrading the skid plates. Oh and some sort of luggage.

My son's trying to get a 2003 Prairie 360 running. Over a year ago, he'd rebuilt the carburetor using a SHINDY 03-112 rebuild kit from JT Cycle & ATV, and it was working fine; however, when it wouldn't run recently, he took the carb apart and the jet needle was rusted in place. He cleaned that up as good as possible and replaced the jet needle with the old one that wasn't rusty. Now, he can only get it to start about 1 out of 5 tries, and when it does start, it won't run unless the choke's on. The spark plug's good and is sparking. It has compression. Any ideas on what he should try next or look into?

Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years.
He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year.
I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days
But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing)
Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20%
I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

I pulled out my Big Bear needed to do a few things probably havent been started in a year. Gassed it up charged the battery started right up. I have been using it around the property for this and that. Went to hook up my trailer to pull up to the house while it was idling it quit. Went to start it turned over but wouldnt start. After trying a few more times lost all power. Pulled it up to the house with the John Deere, the first thing i checked was the Universal fit soloenoil from Amazon and it was only a 10 AMP fuse so it does not universally fit the big bear it should be 30 AMP fuse. At the time i remember noticing it but forgot, at the time i had other problems like wiring harness being in a box stuck engine and no spark. when i bought it, yeah i know, thats one ishould have walked away from, but if i go to the trouble of hooking up my trailer and going there, its following me home.
Thats old news, i still need to check it all out see if it lost spark and see if the starter shorted out it was acting kind of sluggish, i replaced the fuse with the spare 10 amp and blew immediately. I will try a 30 and see what happens.
