Hello,
recently I removed my starter because it was to slow so before buying a new one I thought cleaning it. So I did and it did went much better.
The thing is I replaced it exactly as it was but since then the starter goes freely like there’s no dentelywheels.
Did I do something wrong ?

Hey everyone, recent new-to-me ATV owner/rider.
I have a 2003 Bombardier 650 4x4 Quest and recently my speedo just decided to stop working. The odometer doesn't tick up either but that makes sense considering it thinks I'm going 0mph all the time. I found some links online that mentioned there was a speed sensor to the right of the oil dip but after taking it apart I didn't see anything that looked like what Google images says a speed sensor would be.
The speedo itself moves to 0mph from the off position when turning it on, the backlight for the speedo turns on, and I can switch between trip mileage and hours. The machine itself rides fine as far as I can tell with no bad effects from it. I tried to find a service manual online but it linked me to a bunch of shady sites and I wasn't trying to get scammed out of $15 each until I find one that is actually legit.
Has anyone had a similar issue and knows what the fix would be, or where I should actually be looking for the speed sensor? Or at least point me towards a reputable site for a service manual that might better explain where/what to look for?

Just bought a non-running 425 Magnum 6x6. Guy said previous owner had motor rebuilt (3 years ago or so.) It reportedly ran great but recently the electric start began failing and he put a new recoil on it which he broke immediately.
I get it home and put a new recoil on it and the pull is incredibly hard....so much so that I think I'm going to break the new recoil assembly. I also installed a new starter which won't roll it over either.
I'm thinking maybe a hydro-locked situation so I pull the plug and the motor rolls over fine with both pull start and electric start. The cylinder was dry however.
Checked the valve lash and it was right on at .0006".
Checked the compression relief spring on the end of the cam and the spring was strong and keeps the metal piece against the dowel like it should. The cam lobes look good from what I can see.
I have a small camera that I dropped into the cylinder. Could t get a pic of the entire chamber because of the angled engine but there are marks on the center piston and a couple of grooves once side of the piston top. I will include the photo.
Anyway....I'm at a total loss at this point. Not sure how to proceed and diagnose. Would sure appreciate anyone's help who might know what the heck is going on! I was able to get it to turn over about 5 times with electric start with compression tester installed which read 145 lbs. I don't know what else to do!

Good morning all,
I'm hoping someone can help out and lead me in the right direction. I tried a search and really didn't find anything exactly like my issue.
Symptoms: Turn key on, neutral light off, turn kill switch on, neutral light turns on, starts and runs normal. While running, neutral light still on, turn off kill switch, neutral light turns off, atv continues to run and drive. Only way to turn it off is with the key.
I tested the switch and wiring to the board and all of that checks out okay. My gut says it's possible a bad ground somewhere, but if it was, why would it start?
So I'm kinda stumped for now, hoping someone here has experienced something like this before or knows what I should look at next...

Hi all-
I’ve got a LT300e that I’m working on. The last two days I noticed as I’ve been testing it, it won’t turn off with the key. The kill switch still works to turn it off, as does everything else (lights, neutral light, reverse, starter, etc). So I guess I’m taking votes on what to do here… Ignition the issue? Wiring grounding issue somewhere?
Not sure where to start so any help would be appreciated!
