2000? big bear 400 weak spark...

My buddy has a 2000 (i believe..could be a 99 or 01, i'll find out for sure) big bear 400 that had a bad starter. In the process of figuring that out, they jumped it off a car trying to start it, then found the starter was bad. Replaced it, then found that there was no spark. We all assume that something fried from jumping off the car's batt., so he brought it to a local shop who proceeded to throw parts at it all willy nilly like. According to my buddy almost all elec. components have been changed exept for CDI and voltage regulator. New stator, coil, wire harness, and probably others that aren't coming to mind...

After getting these new parts on there is now a very faint spark, but not enough to make it fire..

He has since bought a newer machine off his parents, and offered to sell it to me at a screamin deal...

Should I buy it? A new CDI is in the $400 range, but I'd be willing to pay for it if this is the problem...I just don't wanna be throwin parts at it like him.

Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated!!

BTW- found out it is an '01, but that shouldn't matter..!

Anybody think $600 as it sits sounds like a good deal for this so far? All the plastic is good, I know this guy well and he doesn't beat his stuff, always had regular oil changes (Amsoil)...it just has this elec. problem...

Matt

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

      Hi guys
My 87 Bear 350 won't start and could use a hand.
Turn key on and Oil light turns on and then slowly fades out. (I think this is key to this) No start, not even a tick.
      battery and connections good
A Solenoid post jump turns it over
Neutral Safety Switch wire attached and seems good
It has not had a wire/switch on Rear Brake Pedal ever since I had it.
Any thoughts on some other things to troubleshoot this??

      Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.
