It was nasty at RAC this Sunday with heavy rain. I had a great time. Wasnt too thrilled about the local people riding there (not the nicest ) but would like to thank the guy on the dirtbike for stopping and offering his help. The dusty trails where now covered in a slimey mess which made for great slides! Me and the quad where COVERED in slimey coal gook but alas before I loaded up the quad, I made a few full throttle blasts through some puddles. All clean. The I drove to Wallys and changed/washed up in the bathroom nice and easy. I did about 4 hours of riding but didnt venture too far into the trails as it was only me and I have no reverse. Im thinking I need a Can Am 800mr instead of a sport quad now though.

that RAC land has a little of everything from mud, trails, hillclimbs, rocks, even sandy sections at some points. Riding quads is now considered a good form of excercise so four hours of it will leave you pretty sore. As for the rude people, that is why I have a nice quiet undisclosed location that I ride.

its actually pretty boring thats why I don't have to fight with anyone to ride there, but I have been doing some landscaping to get it the way I want it.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.
