2000 Kawasaki Bayou 300 Rough Idle

The wheeler will start and idle rough, when the throttle is applied it will bog down and die. If you start it with the lights on low or high it will run but when the lights are killed it will bog down and die. It was recently timed at top dead center and will still roughly run. CDI box? I dont know what else it could be.

How is the battery??

No battery at the time. ive seen online that it should have a battery but it starts without it so i cant seem to find the problem.

On my Bayou, even though much older, it will not run without a battery.

I would put a battery in it and see how it runs. Quads have a good bit of electronics on them now.
