1995 Yamaha Moto 4 Rear End Rebuild

I am trying to rebuild a moto 4 rear end. I have the rearend out now all of it from the drive shaft is sitting on the table. My question is does the axel come out before the rear end comes off or how does it work? From what i can see there is no way to get the rear end off and/or apart without taking the axel out but i may be missing something. Im trying not to mess anything up because i dont have alot of money to spend. Any help from you guys would be great. Thank you.

i do think you have to pull the cv axles ...

Its got one stright axle going through the rear end but i dont know how to get it out.
