1992 Suzuki 250 Quadrunner 4x4

Ok I have this 1992 Quadrunner 4x4 that is about to drive me nutz. I rebuilt the carburetor because the needle valve was letting gas drain thru to the crank case. Rebuilding the Carb seemed to take care of the gas drainage problem, but after the motor warms up it starts cutting out and seems to have black smoke coming out the exhaust like it is getting too much gasoline and flooding out. It starts missing when you finally get it started. It has about 1650 on the odometer. I know it is a 4 stroke and there are valves involved, and I was wondering if that might have to do with anything. I refuse to take it to a dealer and get put over a barrel with all their fees and "expertise".. SO I'm up for any other ideas...

Yes I changed the oil.

If you are going to look at the valves i would just change them. Changing the valves on them arent too bad. I did it myself on my 91 KQ 300 and it really wasnt that bad. The only problem i had was that i had my timing chain 2 links off TDC and i finally figured that out when i took it in. But if your just going to adjust them you are going to need a feeler gauge that is bend about an inch and a half down from the end because you gotta reach down a little ways to get in there.

(The valves are pretty cheap by the way)

From Arkansas. Just bought a 2012 Gator 850i RSX because I could not pass up the price. BUT it has an idle problem. So, to be honest, I joined just to get a service manual. I have a choice: 1)Buy a hard copy: ~$100; 2)Buy a CD ~$35.00; Get a direct download for free posting 10 times; or get a download for $29.00 (subscription). Haven't decided what to do yet.

Hi, I am having issues with my TRX350D fuel pump.  It suddenly stopped running so I have replaced all the fuses and cleaned all the terminals.  I have fitted a new pump, fuel cut-off relay and rectifier.  Still nothing!!  The pump runs when attached to a battery.  The engine will start on the choke and the filter fills with fuel but it will  not rev and dies when the choke is closed. I have power to the relay but nothing at the pump black/white wire when cranking the engine.  Any ideas where to go from here would be very much appreciated!!

I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.
