i have an 06 rancher 350 full time 4x4, no range select or 2wd option. i also have an 06 rancher 350 2wd, they both have the 5 speed transmission. the engine is completely wore out on the 4x4, the 2 wd runs great, at this moment i cant afford to rebuild the engine, can i take the engine off the 2wd and put it on the 4x4? the front cover on the 2wd does not have a spot for the front driveshaft to come out

i would check the engine mounts and compare. probably is feasable to swap them ...

but not 100 % sure ... i would call a honda shop or talk to their mechanic if you can ...

ck was able to help me with a message. thanks guys. i am working on a fuel injection to carburetor retrofit on an 05 suzuki king quad 700, will post details and parts needed in the suzuki forum in the next couple of days.

thank you i test cranked it a lil while ago just holding the carb in place, im putting the new intake together now, hopefully here shortly im going to wake up my whole neighborhood with a test drive

well. i just mounted the carb, an test run it, gonna wait till tomorrow, remove the old fuel tank. then put on a filter box and snorkle. dont let anybody tell you that you have to spend a fortune to keep the fuel injection working. just go old school with it

im just gonna leave the 4x4 honda broke down for now. i got the suzuki 700 king quad running now, going to finish it off today, hopefully have it off in a mudhole this afternoon
