Hi, my name is Melissa. I ride a KQ450 and I've got my old fateful LTZ250-just can't give up the sport quad. We ride mostly trails here in Michigan. I do luv riding in the mud. I ride with my hubby, and friends.

Hello,

I'm Linda, and I lived in Lucerne valley Ca. then moved to the Ozark's.

I guess you could say my ride is a rescue:yes: a 1987 bayou 300!

She was abandoned and left to ruin! I got 1 year out of her before she needed heart surgery, which she is getting during hunting season! Upgrades to come!

We have 10 acres and behind us is about 200 more we ride on!

We have not hit the FS trails here yet but plan on it next year.

We went last month to Oklahoma to check out the dunes in Waynoka! Very Cool!!!

To old to go fast, so I like EXTREME trail riding! Ya know, like you have to have 4 wheel drive but don't!

having an issue with the unit when running under a load up a hill or in high gear, seems like the belt is slipping, there is a clapping sound coming from the primary clutch like it releases and snaps back in. i don't think I should have a noise like that. this is a friends unit and he has already replaced the primary twice with the same result.
not sure where to look next

My friends KQ 300 starts fine and runs, as soon as you put it in gear and try to accelerate its bucks and farts like crazy, not moving... I cleaned carb and it worked good for 1 day... now back to same problem.... could it be such as a bent valve????

The studs in the sprocket hub are stripped out. The hub is probably walloed out also. Probably will have to have a new sprocket hub. I doubt I have the ability nor the tools needed for this job. Thanks for all suggestions/opinions!

What are your riding location preferences? Mud Park? Personal Trails? Public Land?

I'm having trouble identifying Mark. I know where the mark is in the Stator cover. Is the T at about, the 12 o'clock position in this photo? I've got to buy another Stator cover as the one I have has a hole at the bottom of it. Due to failing eyes, I have a lot of trouble anymore. Thanks! 🙂
