2000 scrambler 500 2x4 4x4

i have a 2000 polaris scrambler i can jump it off and it will run but my battery won't charge on the bike if i charge the battery it will start just fine and the lights work for a wile. any ideas?

test your regulator/rectifier ...

i had read on a few polaris forums that that is what it might be ... or stator ... regulator is much cheaper to try first

one more question if the stator was bad would it still run?

it would produce spark and run, but wouldnt enable charging, but i think that would be a rare case
