Good idea to check them so you Know what you are dealing with to begin with! FYI: I checked the Wheel Bearings in LA. as well as N.Michigan before heading Home from these trips! -

Good morning! -
I got into quads mostly for trail riding and having something fun to work on. I picked up a couple of Kawasaki Bayou 220s, and used to ride them pretty regularly. They’ve been sitting for a few years, so now I’m working on getting them running again.

Hello everyone. I’m working on getting a couple of older Kawasaki Bayou 220s running again. I’ll mostly be reading and learning, but I’m glad I found a forum with information on these older machines as well as a ton of other info.

The 53 Qt freezer/ refrigerator has a basket for freezer compartment so I can put empty freezer in car without straining ..its heavy. Then put the basket of frozen food in.

Well, If trailer has the SxS on it the tail gate probably wont add any mor air drag than SxS. If empty the gate will lay flat on trailer. You figure? -

NICE,Looks very Good ! Use Thompson's Water Seal on the PT Decking ,works great ! Leave the Ramp as is it'll come in handy! Hope this one does what you want/need! Air Drag would be VERY Minimal ! -

It's got a 4 ft gate. I want to maybe cut it in half or eliminate it...air drag on long trips.. You Think? -

Nothing wrong with cheap, sounds like a nice rig, steel is good , doesnt break like aluminum, if you have a mishap. I do love aluminum though shiny no rust and pretty.very little maintenance to keep it looking good. -
The Carvee 53 qt compressor freezer /refrigerator just fits in my car. You can see it is a snug fit but easy to get at and open.

That size trailer could possibly be a tandem axel trailer which would be good for your hauling needs. -

Certainly more options for ties in the 15' category. they do tow better. Also every walmart or farm store across the usa has them on the shelf is you need one on the trip. -
I suppose I could throw a set of shocks at it. It is super old but also very low hours and miles. Normally I ride a kawasaki prairie 700. 2005. Solid rear axle, swing arm setup. Even with old hard bear claw tires that things rides like a dream compared to everything else I have been on.

Hey guys and gals. I've been working on my friends 2007 big bear IRS. Unfortunately after 3 different people got their hands on it and only made things worse every time. After months of finding just crazy problems everywhere. I'm finally at the point we're its almost 100% !!! But I'm getting a short somewhere between the 4xW switch I believe. I managed to by searching the internet like a fiend, got my hands on an official Yamaha wire harness for the year and make. But I don't have the numbered component list and to be honest. After hours of going through and making everything so it's easy to reference. If anyone has a picture of the referenced components. I would be forever in your debt. I've spent hours marking up the blown up diagram so it will be easy, for any possible future repairs. Please and thank you. Here's a picture of what i have so far. Unsealed it in plastic so oil and crap won't spill or get smudged. This damn things worth it's weight in gold. Thanks Jeff 2007 Yamaha big bear 400 IRS. YFM40FBW· 2 replies
