  2. TX- I have had bad exp doing them. Lost lots of skin off the back side.
  3. Even if your ride doesn't have enough power to stand you up, you can still practice on it. Get your weight over the tank, give it a little gas and pop the clutch.
  4. There is no gasket between the head pipe and the mid pipe. The mid pipe is the piece that comes off the silencer. It should just overlap the head pipe. Usually held on by springs or some kind of clamp.
  5. My point exactly, it was 400 bucks. I'm sure you weren't expecting a quad thats gonna run forever without a hitch. Can am is about 8000 bucks.

  9. Did it fall off at the head? or at the silencer? The head being the part that directly bolts to the motor. The silencer is the part under your rear fender.
  10. HUGE difference. A Sunl you would expect some things to go wrong, it's a Chinese brand. Nothing wrong with that, just China doesn't have the same quality standards. Can am is one of the most pricey quads out there. If I paid that much, I better not have any problems. My TRX is the cheapest of all the 450s but hey, it has never seen any down time due to it needing to be fixed.
  11. Anytime that you are trying to do a fast start. Like in a drag race or getting the hole shot, Put all your weight over the gas tank. Let her rip, as soon as you get past the point of the quad wanting to stand up put all your weight to the back to mash the tires into the ground for better traction.

  13. You can tell that it is not a 911 from the back. The rear end of the 911 has more curves. That's a 944 I think.
  14. Outlander is absolutely correct. I know several people who have bought quads brand new and took them straight to the track and raced them. The main thing with breaking in a motor is varying your RPM's. You can open the motor up all the way just don't hold it there. The break in time is mainly away for Artic Cat to void a warranty on a brand new machine. If something goes wrong in that time they can blame it on the user.
  15. The 400ex is tame enough for someone without alot of exp. but at the same time it is good enough to race on. A few after market parts will really open it up.

  21. I always like to think it's the worse case possible. That way, it's usually not as bad as I thought.
  22. I know plenty of people who race on a 400EX. They are very sporty. If you know anything about bikes, the 400ex is based off of the XR400. These things run forever.
  23. Those rims came out crazy looking. I don't know what model but I remember when those were all over the road.

  25. I'm guessing it is your tranny or more specific the gear inside that engages your high gear. When you have it in high and rev it, what does it do?
