  1. My honey and I worked on it together, it was my first project. Really had no clue what I was doing.........it took an entire weekend and then some of the next week.....I know what you mean about being frustrated...I'm sure it made me cry more than once cause I was so frustrated at times...but, when it's done, and you see how pretty it is afterwards, you're like.......well that was worth it all...and it's all mine.

    Promise.:wink::cute:

    wow i wish mine was done that quick, we have had so many complications and had to order so many parts, its been a few weeks now and we are almost ready to paint. My man is so good at this stuff, i have no idea either, for him its second nature, for me its no fun lol. But it will be done and i will be soo happy, and yes yes i have shed a few tears myself lol.:yes:

  2. yeahhhhh I remember that feeling when I ripped apart my pit bike and redid it!!!!

    You gotta bent steering stem??

    yupper it is indeed bent, also what we found is we needed a whole bunch of new nuts and bolts, i needed new heel guards and they come with new foot pegs. Need back brake pads. Need a new left front caliper because a pin was stuck in the old one and my man tried so hard but it wasnt budging. Needed a new swing arm and all the bolts, needs new bearings everywhere, a few plastics were bad, the headlight mount was broken off the frame so that needs welding. New clutch lines.

    Some extras im puttin on.....some black plastic on the gas tank cover and the hood, nerfs, a bumper, new paint of course, handgaurds, new clutch lever, some yamaha graphics, and i think thats it haha, it is takin a while but it will be worth it. :)

  3. Well here are some more pictures of the quad before we tore it down, and part of the transformation. As you can see the quad is beat up and quite rusty. Right now we have everything off the frame and the frame partly sanded down. A few more days we will be ready to paint the frame. We did finally get the swingarm off. We had to cut it. This is gonna look great when done.

    STAY TUNED I will have more pictures soon. :wink::yes:

  4. So i rode for the first time with my thor quadrants the other night and i gotta say they are gonna take some getting used to. I was ridin my mans quad and i just couldnt get my foot under the shifter. When we put my quad back together i think im definantly gonna have to move the shifter up some.

  5. isn't it great :) i really kinda miss that feeling sometimes. you have to trust them and their skills soooo much. when i first started learning how to ride and about quads, nick would do wheelies with me on the back and i'd be scared out of my mind....but now looking back, its the crazy stuff like that we did together that made me love him :)

    wow, how sappy was that:Angel_animc::bouncing_smiles:

    Awww haha yeah zac does wheelies with me on the back , I love it but its scary too, haha..

  6. My man and I have been workin on my 1997 warrior. We are tearing it down from top to bottom and have found some things to replace. One of those things is the swing arm....it is cracked on both sides at the welds. Are problem is that we cant free up the dang thing. The long bolt that holds it on at the top is stuck because the bearings have seized and caused a welding of crap to the bolt. We have tried bangin the hell out of it, pryin, everything....the bolt will turn but it wont budge comin out. we alredy decided we need a new one and are ordering it but my question is.....does ne one have ne other ideas on how to get this bolt out??????????? We are gonna try to add heat to it and see if that frees it, if not i think we may have to just cut it off at both ends....:aargh: Please ne suggestions would be great

  7. well now that i got my warrior, my man had to get an offroad toy, so he traded his drz for a 2007 raptor 700. This thing is crazy ...... but luckily while mine is still in a gagillion pieces since it has become a project quad, this thing will help tie me over ......

    before and after pics of my warrior project will be put up later on :yes:
