Ok so i have a 2006 YFZ 450 high comp piston, hot cams, different gears, and i only ride sand, i have raced a few LTR's and beat them all, sometimes it just comes down to experience, Its hard to say which is better, if your comparing a 2009 YFZ and LTR i would go with the YFZ as a better bike not necessarily faster... LTR's are very fast and with a cherry bomb and exhast you should be able to beat most bikes even slightly modded ones, in the sand it can come down to little things, gearing, tires, lots of stuff so its hard to say whats fasater and i mean rider weight can also be big factor, i hope this helps or maybe i just confused you...lol well check out my crews riding video our youtube our channel is spartanracing43 you won't be dissapointed leave some feedback. ~Alex

Ya gas is not good for the plastics, around my gas tank cover it is starting to chip but i just take it off and give it a quick spray and its good to go.

I just got back from a trip to St. Anthony sand dunes in Idaho, it took me 19 and a half hours to get there from Corvallis, Oregon, It was the best dune trip of my life, you guys near there are so lucky to have dunes like that. We have 5 different sand dune locations to ride here in Oregon but non of them are as sweet as St. Anthony, Check out some of our videos on you tube, our channel is Spartanracing43 we will have a video of our ST. A trip up in a couple weeks, So if you get a chance to go to St. A do it!!!! ~Alex

I put about 3 coats on them , The First coat i went real light to get the feel for it, when using this plastic paint its better to do lighter coats, if you put it on real heavy it is more likely to chip, so the more lighter coats the better but on about my 3rd coat everything was covered and looked good, i painted over yellow plastics so you can see it goes on nicely.

Here is a pic of my 2006 YFZ 450 I used Krylon Fusion Spray Paint, its about $6 a can, i used 3 to do my gas tank cover and front plastics. It holds up nicely, its been 6 months and 5 weekends to the dunes and they still look good with only a couple chips from hard riding, but all you have to do is mask off where the chips are and give it a little spray and you would never know. Its a cheap way to change the color of the plastics. Before i sprayed i cleaned the plastics real well, sanded with 400 grit paper and then ceaned them with rubbing alcohol. I'll see if i can get these pictures to post it might take a couple tries.

This was filmed in Christmas Valley in eastern oregon, over in the "hidden dunes." none was actually filmed at the coast. Thanks for fixing that mistake too, we are new. Thanks for all of the input, tell your friends to watch it !!!

Mollala buckeroo? don't think that was us..lol Ya we will be staying in the condos at win bay, it should be a great time, we are heading over to St. Anthony's Idaho the 22nd of this month going to stay for a week, it shuold be great time and we should get some great footage for another one of our films, we are hoping to get enough footage to put together a small film...in a year or two how ever long it takes. But ya i look forward to meeting and riding with you too. I'll let you know if we have any more riding plans before dune fest.

Yes we will be at Dune Fest we go every year, are you part of the Sand Wizards i have seen all of their videos, They also have a nice weebsite, We are planning on making a video of dune fest this year, just a little trailer like our other stuff, w are good friends with the owners of Discovery Point, so we will be staying there for most of dune fest. I'll keep an eye out for ya, we should have another video on you tube next week, just having some technical difficulties with the video editor, but it should be 10 times better than any of our others, its all in HD 1080p, with bigger jumps and more action!
