i pressure washed all the flaked decals off, then got the glue off with 'goo gone'. plastic is all there but just faded and small scratches, nothing a can of pledge funiture polish can't cure .... try pledge on your plastics, better than armor all or spray 9 ... -

bought this beast for 400 bucks, not running, from orig owner and he told me it needed a stator. 200 $ later it was running. another 50 for the tires and rims off a grizzly, (and yes i know the fronts are backward LOL) got a little more than 1200 total invested, and runs like a top. -

these pics are when i first bought it, re-assembled it, (i got pieces and a coffee can of bolts and nuts, LOL) then started taking it back apart again .... for a good cause i swear ... -

thanks for the info. i went to see a yamaha mechanic and he said the same thing, just tight fit, he recommended putting grease or lube on the spline after it was clean for a snugger fit. just that easy ... LOL

i took apart the rear disc brake (cover,disc,caliper,pads) and when i was putting it all back together, i noticed the disc on the spline was not secured by a lock ring or anything. i looked at schematics and there is nothing holding that disc on. is this right? seems like a poor design to me ....

i think the lumber there is for newspaper material. we stumbled across this by fluke. it was amazing to see, it was about 180 degrees around ... -
it was very steep, i didn't try too hard to go up the rest of the way, had to steady it there with the winch cable ... -
yes very cold. and the air too that time of year, but my bike works great in that climate. just have to bundle up warm, frequent stops, and warm beverages. LOL -

my yamaha loves to swim, however the bike you see there, kawasaki 750 brute, will usually spit and sputer when it sees water LOL -
its fun that time of year, water is high and cold. there are about 4 crossings like this to where we go. just 5 minutes out town and you think you are the only one on earth ... until you see riders coming at you. haha -
