I have an 1999 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 VIN # 411599AT82XT433664. I have tried everywhere to look this VIN up. It has 18 digits and from what I have read it's supposed to have 17 and the 11th digit is supposed to be a T. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have attached a picture of the VIN and I know it's not in the best shape but it's what I'm working with. The 4 wheeler was my Uncle's and he passed away about 2 years ago. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It must be 17 characters. Could the first three be 4H5? I know the first three are the mfg code. Someone with an AC can confirm.

I don’t think arctic cat had vin # I thought they only did serial numbers.   Is usually on the down tube of the frame where the wire harness is.

 

 

 

That machine comes back as a 2000 year 

Also take a look at the frame left side above the muffler.  See if anything is there.

First three digits should be "4UF" means its made in USA. Next two are year, Yours is "99" for 1999. Next digits are "ATV" The rest is the unique serial number for the machine.

Newer smaller cats like my 2010 366, and 2017 Alterra start with "RBF" which means they are Kymco built. The rest of the VIN is the same.

I have a wrecked snowmobile. the # on the tag is 9913697. Can anyone email me with the year and model of this sled ? I need to buy parts to restore it.

That doesnt correspond to any VIN # that im used to seeing, looks more like an engine # . You might look at the fframe closer to see if you see a different #, or contact Arctic Cat they are usually very helpful.
