Hey Guys, I have a 2004 arctic cat 500. Having a problem with it and can’t find anything out. I rode it for couple hours, ran fine had no problems, turned it off for about 30min then went out started it, backed it out of the garage and as I let off the throttle to shift into High it died. Lights come on, the dash display light is on but it doesn’t show what gear, miles, hours, or how fast I’m going. It all disappeared but battery is still strong. I click the starter button and it doesn’t do anything, not even a click. It turns over when I pull start it but doesn’t start. Does anyone have any idea what to look for or anything? I could use the help, thanks guys!

Either  a  relay   or possibly the  neutral  safety  switch  has  failed,  or  something simple  like  you accidentally  hit the  kill  switch .  I  have  done that  and  took  me   a minute to realize that  was  all.....  I had accidentally activated the  kill  switch. All  that  cursing  for  nothing    LOL   Hope  that  was your  problem too....Easy  fix .  If  not,  fun time  chasing  down the electrical  fault.

Hey guys!! So it’s been a bout a week or so, I replaced the ignition fuse and seemed to fix the problem, rode it couple times for 10 min or so and then today I’m using it to plow, been running for 2 hours plus and I blew another ignition fuse, replaced that one and prob 5 min later blew another one. Does anyone have a idea of why I keep blowing a ignition fuse!!? Could it be the starter going out? 04 arctic cat 500 4x4. Thanks and let me know what you think

Check  for a wire  with  a  small  bare spot  shorting  out somewhere  in the  ignition circuit .  It won't be  the  starter because there  is no  power to  it   except when you  are actually starting the  machine.

It  obviously  can't  be  a  continuous   short,  just one that  movement  occasionally makes   it connect  and blow the fuse .  It  could  happen  immediately  after  changing the fuse ,  minutes , hours  or even days  apart if  it  is in a  wire that  only occasionally grounds out.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

Good morning, I am new to the forum. I'm 75 years old and love getting ATVs back to usable condition. I particularly like the 2006-2009 Arctic Cat 250 Utility. I currently own 6. The 2006 I am working on only has reverse and low gear. The "drive shaft" in the transmission is completely stripped where the high gear would mesh. Has anyone on here replaced the shaft. I'm told I have to split the case. I was hoping that someone on here could let me know how hard it will be. I already have it stripped down to where the shaft coming in from the clutch side is the only thing left. I was hoping I could just remove the driven clutch and drive it out from there. Directions say different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hisun 700 EFI. Replaced TMAP sensor had broken off . Fuel pump pressure 41psi. The only way I can keep it running (and runs fine) is to close off fuel return line.

This thing came with a cheap aftermarket carb on it the problem I'm having is it won't start with choke installed into carburetor it will start and get run without it installed then bogs out after about 2 min run time I've checked timing , compression, checked valves for proper clearance , also did a smoke test for air leaks found none.
