So I recently bought this quad, replaced the carb added a twist throttle and it runs very well. I took it to the power lines up the street and plenty of power it pulled the front up in the grass shifting into 3rd. Ok great but the front tires are worn and the rears are fantastic. The tears are Doro  AT 22 x11x9 the wheels say DID 9x8 AT 1 06. The front tires are Ohtsu radial h teak mr 101 at 22x710. No stamps on the wheels. The fronts outer edge to OE measure 47.5 and the tears are 46” to the outer edge. I think I may prefer the fronts to not be so wide. I kinda remember that on some friends quads I have ridden. I did take it to a tight 1st sometimes 2nd spot with some crazy mud holes and the rears were very impressive. The fronts slid around on dry rooted rocky terrain. Oh and I bent a steering arm on the way out of there. I flipped the fronts around to not be as wide but the schraeder tube would have gotten lopped off by the caliper. There is not a hole for the tube on the other side of the wheel. I know wider is more stable but it’s also sketchy getting the quad up and down the aluminum folding ramp with the wider front tires. I know that I want new front tires, and would greatly appreciate some opinions from you Quadcrazies out there. By the way most of the riding will be on a mountain with tight trails puddles big rocks and bigger cliffs...

Welcome to quadcrazy! Great pics, looks like you got some action there with the mud. I would just look around online and check a bunch of sources for tires like motosport, tirerack, amazon, rockymountain, etc. I would look at some knobby tires a bit more aggressive for trail and mountain riding. maybe something like these on amazon: Full Set Of MassFx Front (2x) 21X7-10 and rear Tires (2x) 20X10-9 ATV Tires Pair

Ok, gotcha

should I look into getting the fronts to be not wider than the rears, it’s a bit scary on and off loading, and at this time the ride is a bit unpredictable.

thank you for your repy

Yes, typically sport quad front tires are more narrow and taller than the rears. In most cases even on 4WD and AWD fronts are more narrow for turning.

Leave the  fronts at stock width.  The engineers who  designed the  quad   made them that width for a reason .  Wider  front  spacing  may be  more  stable  for all  out racing ,  but a  pain to  steer and handle  in more normal riding.  Friends  who  didn't  listen  and turned   their  wheels around to  gain  with  very   quickly went  back to  stock spacing  after  a couple of rides and tired  arms.

Thank you Ajmboy, and davefrombc.!. It s a pain to steer, and is unpredictable. When I was buying the quad, the seller told me to just flip them around, and I tried that. Yes the fronts are now not as wide as the rears but the valve tube would then hit the caliper, so that will not work. I do not see a hole on the opposite end of the wheel so that I can mount them the opposite of what they are. Is there a size, or off set the I want to in a wheel to get me back to normal land.

Sounds like  the seller didn't have the stock wheels on the  front.   You can  look up the   rims and tires for  your  quad   on this site  and compare  the  specs listed there  with what  your  front  wheels   actually are.  That  should tell  you  if that is the  problem . http://www.mud-throwers.com/atv_wheel_chart

Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

Hello, im looking for some input on this situation i have. My 94 Mojave has no spark, and i have no idea what it is. Ive replaced/tested the magneto, the pickup coil, cdi, the ignition coil. Even the key and Killswitch. I haven't tested the harness its self, but i have tried another harness and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is the fly wheel itself. I have found a lot of metal shavings in the fly wheel and have cleaned it the best I could. But nothing happened afterwards. I am truly stumped here and hoping some of yous could shed some knowledge/ideas that could help get this thing to fire.

My king quad 700 runs rough when cold then won't start some times but not often when it's hot. And occasionally smoke's a lot when it's cold I'm guessing that's rings but I'm worried unless it's causing the other problems

      All help is appreciated thanks

Has anyone else had an issue on older king quads where the oil would leak from the top of the head (due to a failed gasket) and drip onto the hot exhaust? Mine got so hot one time it caught fire. Just wondering if this is a common issue, as I've seen the same thing happen on multiple bikes that were the same model.

My 2014 750 king quad stalls sometimes when I touch or turn the handlebars, the problem has gotten worse,my machine has 475 miles and is only trail ridden,I have a new factory battery and i have 14.2 volts when the quad is running and 13.3 on the battery when not running, also using a multimeter there is no change in volts when turning the bars until it does stall,If I pull the 40 amp power steering fuse it will not stall.......I've been told its the ECU,Hate to buy one if thats not the problem, but its kinda leaning towards that,,,,,need some opinions.
