So i rode for the first time with my thor quadrants the other night and i gotta say they are gonna take some getting used to. I was ridin my mans quad and i just couldnt get my foot under the shifter. When we put my quad back together i think im definantly gonna have to move the shifter up some.

trust me you'll get used to it...i use the steel tip of the boot to shift my gears ...took a little getting used to but once you get the boots broken in you'll be fine..they are pretty stiff when there brand spank...

If you wet them down and walk around in em some before you ride with em it will help in the break in.....once you break em in and get used to them I bet you will be able to leave the shifter in the normal position.

well that's something I didn't think of trying.....wish I woulda new that to starttttt :) Hopefully after a full season of racing, my boots are finally going to get as comfortable as they can be...just don't try to run in them...especially up a flight of stairs.....

bad things happen when you do:confused::goofy::embarrassed::biglaugh:

We have one place that we ride at where all of the trails start off of a creekbed.....I always plan a weekend trip there whenever I get a new pair of boots...the first day I will stay back at the camp walking up and down the creekbed while the family is riding and they will be good to go for the next day. I know of a few folks that will wear a new pair of boots in the shower a few times before they ride with em on.

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Let's say 3-5 years from now.

Just picked up a 2006 Dvx400. There is a switch I can't figure out what it is or where it goes. Has 3 wires (light blue, black and Yellow)
