UPDATE!

-----------

bout time for another update huh?

well,

some of the decals are here..

couple of polaris ones..

the brake pads.

and im just now getting back to the project becuase of prior grounding.

so.

today, i got her out. and bad news..battery is dead.. so i had to pull start this thing lol.

working on getting the battery charged..i took her out for a niiiiiiice scrubbin' i washed every nook and cranny of her today..

and she is sittin in the garage clean as whistle right now.

i would have all the stickers on but my dad is having problems with our suburban [thats a first] so this week i am really getting back into the project..

selling some things for cash [the ps2, a 10 inch subwoofer,] and collecting cans..[i have like 5 bags right now] which can earn me some good cash..

i think im going for more decals for the first cosmetic mod..

and for performance..i am buying the RCR air box mod kit.

give me a little more flow..

and i think i am deciding on a ceramic finish RCR pipe and muffler..

as soon as i get the money ill be ordering that..which comes with a jets i think..and the clutch kit should be on the way too.

later this summer i should get a flywheel mod..from RCR which removes 13 ounces making engine response better.

but um a question..

does anyone here know an easy way to remove decals?

if so post plz.

thats about it...

any input?

Get a hair dryer or a heat gun and blow some hot air on the stickers. This will soften the glue. Use a razor blade to lift the corner of the sticker. Peel the sticker off very slowly. Do NOT hold the heat to one spot for too long, you may heat the plastic too much and make it warp.

Power washer works good. Set the nozzle to be thin and adjust your angle and that sucker will blow right off - get it like 1/2" from the plastics. I take off all my stickers this way and most of the time it doesn't even leave behind the sticky residue :)

But WD40 works great for removing the residue. Then clean with rubbing alcohol.

Yeah I have used a power washer to get my stickers off. It works great. Kinda messy clean up since the don't always come off in one piece but it is still the easiest way.

wow a little too late fellaz.

me and my friend after school, used wd40 and a razor blade..

got em all off. and washed the sticky crap off.

ill post pictures later today...i think my dada nd i are going to get the brake pads on today.

expect progress pics soon!

and i took the front mud guard off.

wooo hooo

i just got done taking all the plastic off..

it took like 2-3 hours...

i did it by myself.

it took a lot to get that crap off.

well my dad just threw the plastic in the back of his truck.

he is taking it to work to get it repaired and painted BLACK!

im excited. not long after this. the rims will be black..i think he will be taking the rims to his work tommorow. the front nose piece im still undecided...lime green?

white?

so i think just a polaris and flame decal on the tank. and the nos piece: a small polaris and big monster M. two big M's on the inside back fenders. and a couple little ones here and there.

sounds good to me.

If you are going for the Monster theme why would you paint it red? Go green with your "M" on the nose piece black. Alot of times decals don't stick well to the gas tank. If you spill ANY gas on the sticker it is done. Just remember, when putting all your stickers on, less is more.

Glad its coming along for you.....

and collecting cans

I used to do this as a kid....I would go around to Houses that were being built and ask them If I could place a Garbage Can there and for them to put their Cans in(or plastic Bottles, But back then we didnt have those....LMAO!!!) Do that at Several Different Sites and it works well....People are always willing to help out Kids.....

later this summer i should get a flywheel mod..from RCR which removes 13 ounces making engine response better.

How much do they charge????? I can get it done Cheaper I bet.....I have done this to several of my 2 Strokes.....Very nice Throttle Response once this is done.....

How about some updated Pictures:wink:

I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this UTV.  When I turn the switch to on, the contractor does not engage.  The Brake pressure switch and the parking brake switches work correctly. What else should I be looking for?  All of the diagrams I have found are for newer models and the wire color coding is different.

      Thanks

Hello all, I have a 2006 Polaris Sawtooth with no spark. It has a dead battery but with a jump pack on it, it will still not Spark. Plug is good, Throttle ETC is not closed, Stator pick up coil seems to Ohm out in the correct range, Unsure how to properly check the CDI. And when ignition is on the Neutral and reverse light come on but after cranking just the neutral stays on.

      Any help would be great,

      Thanks!

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks
