05 Raptor 660 Crackin And Popin

I Just Got An 05 660r Raptor And When It's Sitting There And You Give It Gas It Cracks And Pops When Reved At High Rpms Back And Forth.......any Idea What It Could Be?? Local Dealer Said It Caould Be The Rev Switch That Runs From The Clutch Handle To The Tranny.....so I Cut The Wires And Spliced Them Together To See If That Made A Difference.....and It Didnt.....any Idea Would Be Greatly Appriciated.....thanks

dont really know.......just got it.......from what i saw i couldnt even find the adjustments for the carb.....other then the idle screw......found that on the side......i'm waiting on the weathr to break then i'll get it right.......was just hoping it was a quick fix.....i'm leaning towards there not being a airbox lid......i have one ordered and it should be on it's way

running without a air box lid and not jetting the bike could cause it to run lean ....which would make you backfire out the carb/airfilter.....have you experienced this...my bike did that b4 and when it pops it feels like someone gave you a little tap on your crotch,,,lol

      Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer. 
      There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!

      Just picked up a 2025 Yamaha Kodiak 700 fixing to do a EPI Clutch mod to it since I dropped bigger tires on it !! Air box , exhaust , and programmer next !

      need help on a yamaha raptor 80 stalling

      I recently purchased a raptor 80 for my grandson for  christmas. I am trying to make sure it is running properly. i have rebuilt the carb and adjusted the carb idle then the mixture to middle of where it runs rough and it runs great for about a min or 2. then it stalls out. I can usually choke it and it will start so i feel it is lacking fuel. the fuel shutoff valve has been changed and i checked it for good fuel flow.  any ideas of what to check next. I am planning to vfy fuel float height tomorrow. I visually checked it by turning carb upside down when i had it apart and it looked level. any ideas are appreciated.

      Raptor Pre-ignition?? (Maybe)

      I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing

      '96 Polaris Xpress taillight/brakelight cutoff switch

      I know this is a stupid question but here I am.. I'm wanting to have the ability to disable my taillight/brake light on my '96 Polaris Xpress at will, it comes on with the key and there are times I don't want it to illuminate. I have basic wiring knowledge and I'd like to put a toggle switch to disable it. I'm not sure of the wiring setup on this thing, can I just use a toggle switch on the ground wire to kill it when I choose? Can someone clarify which wire I need to work with and the easiest way? Excuse my ignorance yall.
