The fastest I've had my TRX is 71mph. That was off my GPS. All I can say is wow! That was alot different than going 70 on 2 wheels. The quad definitly floats around at those speeds.

fastest ive gone on my 700r is the high 70's..i think...id like to say faster but i dont realy know for sure,....my raptor likes to float around the trails when hauling that fast too....but i think that was because i was running the stck worn out tires in the front...this season ive got new rubber all around so the floating issue should be resolved... now i just need to go faster...lol

Change sprockets like bigger and you could go faster. Instead of blaming your front tires. Top fuel dragster can hit 330 plus MPH and they just DRIVE it , when floating occurs. KingQuad hit 72 and wieghts 200 pounds more than the Rappy . I think put a clutch kit on the King Quad and say BYE,BYE, and Bye.

Thought you would carry this topic better. Oh I forgot , I had to start this topic in the first place.:laugh::laugh:

By the way 08 Rappy 350, Which has a faster top speed, not the first one to it. A 650 or 680 Rincon? One is carb the other is EFI.

i didnt blame the lack of speen on my front tires...i blamed the floating issue on the tires....btw my 700r doesnt lack speed at all...I just want more...plus i dont believe a king quad hit 72mph anyways....my buddies brute force 650i can only do 60mph....my rappy would spank most quads out there unless they are heavily moddified...Ive just done some upgrades to mine ie...a fuel controller and intake so im guessing my top speed incresed probably to the high 70's or low 80's...not to much around that can touch that... and i dindt need you to start a thresd for me....thought you said to keep the high speed talk to a minimum something about tree huggers...lol i dont ride on any actually park or organized trails just straight up bush roads up here in Canada...so we dont have to worry about the tree huggers aroubd these parts...its just the yanks that are conserned about that...

Like I said change you sprockets . It's just like changing you gearing . You know , just like a car. Alot of of Duner's change their gearing for a higher top speed.Just look at Banshee and Quadzilla's for example. Change the gearing on one of these stock, makes one heck of a difference in speed.

Hey 08 Rappy-350 got an answer for this ?

im no expert...especially with utes...but from what ive heard and researched the 650 would probably be faster.. the 680 is fi with a snappier throttle response but the carbed 650 would be able to be adjusted enough to take the 680... i have no clue what the top speed of the bikes are either... like i said im more of a sport quad guy but i try to be as imformed as i can...if im wrong please by all means correct me...

The Only Down Fall About Sprocket Changes Is It's A Trade Off Between Loosing Bottom End Or Top. Depending On What U Change. The Taller Sprocket On The Rear The More Acceleration U Gain But U Loose Top End Speed. And A Shorter Sprocket Means More Top Speed But Less Acceleration. As Far As Motor Wise It's The Other Way Around. So It's All In What U Want As Long As U Dont Mind Loosing A Little Of The Other.

yeah i will take a carb over fi any day...

just cause i love the carbs..thats what im used too....

just like 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke..

i mean its obvious who wins..hahaha.

2 STROKE!

"if there is oil in the gas, then it will go fast!"

I love 2 strokes, but I love how easy it is to get my quad ready for a ride. My CR500 is a handful sometimes. You gotta always bring extra oil, oil to mix. A 4 stroke you just bring the gear and the quad.

Hi guys, trying to get a quad running again. It was running fine but the electric start did not work. My uncle was using it and the pull start snapped. So I replaced the pull start and electric starter motor. Now it just cranks and cranks but will not start. I have spark, I have fuel to the carb, I know this is a 2 stroke with a separate oil tank, what else should i check?

    • Tires, and Rims: out with the old, in with the new

So I wanted to start a thread about modifications on ATVs OR SXSs that makem look sick or run better.  It can be any modification from new handlebar grips to a winch to an added lightbar, but I was focusing on tries and rims.  Here are some of my simple additions to my Bayou 300:  I put looker front shocks on it, added a 2500 winch, replaced the headlight with a blinding 6in light bar, and added new and bigger rims and tires:  and just for clarification, all the pics are of it with the lightbar on it, the last one is of the stock headlight.

    • Street tires

My village has now made golf carts and atv's legal on the street and now that the wife and i can go cruise around i'm considering putting on street tires to save my knobbies. Thinking on the route of saving costs and using car rims i'm sure i will have to get adapters but has anyone had experiences doing this? Down falls? We dont mud or anything and they would be used for summer only.

My 2005 Kawasaki Prarie 700 will not go over 27mph, seems to have low to no throttle response, dies out whenever you don't keep the throttle up, seems to have no power, and the 4x4/2x4 light keeps flashing back and fourth and also there's a red light on that I'm not sure what it means, any help would be greatly appreciated
