modding a Kolpin case mount for 2003 Recon

Recommended Posts

When hunting  I carry my rifle in a Kolpin or Flambeau case. My old Kolpin case won't fit any of the current mounts - so I made my own for it.

The newer Kolpin case mount for the gun boot IV - the loop bracket,  carries way to high to suit me. A simple mod fits my Recon TRX250T, and puts the case down along side the footrest. A piece of bedframe angle iron about a foot long, brings the loop way down

      Hey,
I am new to quads and I'd like to know more and be able to repair my BRUIN as much as I can.
I bought a cheap YAMAHA because I know there is parts on the market and they can be repaired.
I hope I will learn a lot of things in this journey.

Looking to get my kids started, eldest is 8 and youngest 4, think it makes sense to hook them up with ATVs already? Or wait a few more years

I've a thought, don't know if it's worthwhile but... Has anyone used any sort of rubber protectant on their boots. I'm bringing back an old machine that sat in the field of lost dreams for years. The boots aren't ripped or dry rotted but I would like them to last a while.
      Thanks for your thoughts.
