Out riding last week. My son was riding my friend's Rincon. He was falling behind. I looked back at him and the left front tire was sideways. I thought, damn, I know what that is.

The inner rod end ball had busted out of the socket housing. I was able to pop it back in then tied it up with pull start rope.

Worked well enough to limp it back at slow speed.3759cb937f24198a7847cf55ab26c167.jpge4b357bd7d12da50c87d76e4a92bfcd8.jpg570644e594a03378e5d117a04f4ee04c.jpg

I had tape and tools. Tight space. I could barely get a hand in there. I tied a slip knot on the rod first. With one hand slid it in over the inner rod and steering knuckle. Pulled it tight then tied it off to the outer rod.

Pics were taken after I got it in my garage and pulled the wheel.

Have you ever been on the trail and your tire valve goes bad. No way to break down the wheel and replace it. A lot of you probably know about this already i had heard of it but never used one. Just punch out the old one insert and tighten down the nut

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
