I have mixed feelings on tire slime and have used it in automotive applications. Lots of landscapers use it with their tractors. If you go fast it can throw the tire out of balance enough to feel it even on an ATV. I find if you have good tread on your tires, you wont get a puncture and when you do just, use a tire plug. Now, if you are in an area where you are going to pick up small punctures then tire slime as a preventive measure like @mikeexplorer  says may be a solution. I try and carry an ATV Tire Repair Kit like this:

ATV/UTV Emergency Tire Repair and Inflation Kit

You can also try Quadboss ATV Tire Sealant:

Slime coats the tire and rim and is a pain to get off the rim. At my house if a plug or patch can't fix a hole in a tire it gets and inner tube. there was one time my stepfather got a flat at night and him and a friend left the wheeler on the side of the trail and spend an hour finding and inner tube then put a new one in the tire.

I agree with @mrfartsalot , slime is messy. plug and patch or put a tube in.

If you use slime, pay someone else to change your tire.

Definitely this, but also tell them about it first. I used slime about 10 years ago in a tyre, took the wheels to be replaced with new tyres and forgot about the slime in them (it was almost 2 years after I'd put it in).

Needless to say, I was their most hated customer the moment the tyre separated from the rim and Satan's fart juice spread all over the workshop. That stuff gets everywhere.

i fixed my brothers car tire leak with tire slime (put the slime in the tire and drove around 20 minutes to spin it everywhere) when we parked his car we made sure the leak*it was this screw in the tire/we left the screw unremoved because we didn't want to gamble making a bigger hole (when we parked his car in the garage we made sure the screw/air leak was exactly at 6o clock to let gravity pool the slime in the area!

So.. it a weird one.. The quad surges as you go down the road. By the looks of my tracks, it's one wheel only. High range, low range, 2 wd , 4 wd.. It just doesn't matter..
You can see in the pictures the marks it leaves. That was in a straight line, with hardly any acceleration.
      Any ideas?

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I see quite a few ads for that  Tribotex additive. It's kind of expensive, has anyone used it it their ATV or any other vehicle?

      Hey everybody,

My proficiency is with Hondas and Yamahas make me see RED!

This bike is my brother in law's, it has 1199 miles on it and went from running great to dead with no start. Every once and a while it will start and sputter for 2 seconds. It is extremely sporadic when it fires but never runs for longer than 3 seconds.

      Here is where we sit:
      Brand New Fully Charged battery
Carb was cleaned with air hose and carb cleaner then into the ultrasonic cleaner with Aircraft aluminum cleaner
New Shindy Carb kit (made in Japan version)
Cleaned out petcock and gas tank
      New 93 Non Ethanol Gas
      New Spark Plug

It gets a spark through the spark test light every time
      Bluish white spark
When holding the spark plug 1/4" - 3/8" away from head it will jump and spark to the head
      Good Compression

      Here are the readings:

Pickup Coil 519 Ohms (range 459-561)
Charging Coil 266 Ohms (range 270-330)
      Lighting Coil 0.700 (range 0.702-0.858)
Spark plug Cap 10.58 Ohms (10kohms
Ignition Coil Primary Coil 0.5 ohms (range 0.18-0.28 ohms)
Ignition Coil Secondary Coil 8.20 kOhms (range 6.32-9.48 kOhms)

Would y'all think stator and pick up coil, rectifier or CDI are the culprit?
