2013 Polaris Scrambler 850 PTO vs MAG Ignition Wires

ok so did a little digging found that the two cylinders have names (mag and pto) and that the mag cylinder is in the front and the pto cylinder in the back so i needed a mag cylinder ignition wire.  after looking on polaris' parts diagrams i found the specific part number and then on to ebay searched 'polaris scrambler 4014007' and boom there is was for under $20.  so maybe could we get a moderator (@Ajmboy ) to change the title of this forum to something like 'Polaris Scrambler PTO vs MAG ignit

Hey so i sold my 04 rubicon and wanted something new so i went to NC and bought a '13 scrambler 850XP LE EPS.  love it the only issues with it when i bought it were a leak in the front tire and the mice had chewed through one of the spark plug wires.  currently have a substitute hooking the chewed end to the ignition coil so itll run on both cylinders however im having an issue finding a replacement coil wire for it and was wondering if yall had any advice.  i need the longer of the two coil wires and i can only find the shorter one online.  will throw up some pics of it when i can

About any coil wire should work that is long enough.  Usually you can unscrew the plug boot and unscrew the wire from the coil and replace it.  I've used skinny auto plug wires before.  Anything that will fit into the plug boot and has a good thick silicone shield.

To wrap it up on a parallel twin atv like a scrambler or sportsman 850 or 1k, the PTO cylinder is in the rear and the MAG cylinder is in the front.

could never find it written that plainly lol had to hinda guess and do a lot of digging

good investigative work!  I use Babbitt's or Partzilla to find the part number of what i need and then search ebay, amazon, etc and usually find it quite a bit cheaper than dealer.  Just have to dig through the diagrams and find what you need.

      I rebuilt the carb on said machine. When I hook up the auxiliary gas tank it runs fine and everything is cool. When I put the fuel tank on and hooked up the lines, it completely flooded the cylinder and even about an inch of fuel in the air box. I'm pretty sure that it comes from the little hose on the petcock and hooks to the top of the carb. WTH is that even for? I mean the thing runs fine on the auxiliary tank, so idk And on the petcock when it's in the "on" position, I get no fuel. The petcock from the bike I took it apart and checked out how it operates. The sharpie marks indicate how it really works. Now the other petcock w/o the sharpie marks is an old one that was leaking that I removed from a Polaris quad. It's exactly the same thing, except the small hose and nipple have been removed. I'm so confused, LOL
