Moto 4 sub trans questions

Was given an old moto 4 350 a while back and got it running but had problems with the sub trans being stiff, so stiff the we have broken the shift lever off of it and was just trying to find info about possible lockouts and any info to free it up and get it working again. It's currently in high and is moving around find but would eventually like reverse back

There will be some sort of interlock to prevent it going into more than one range at a time, and on some models of yamaha that interlock gives trouble.

The resident expert is a guy in here called MarkinAR..  If you message him he will probably be able to talk you through what to check.

There is a linkage adjustment next to the pull start, didn't know if you had tried that yet.

I hadn't as I do not know what and where and how to adjust lol I have an idea but needed some advice, stumbled on this forum trying to download the manual but need 10 posts to download anything so figured I'd make a post

@Samual Andrade, Man, it's been forever since I've been into one of those.  The last one I can remember kinda like that was a Big Bear 350 and it had two linkage adjustments on the right side of the motor.  It really sounds like you have some kind of linkage adjustment issue or something like that.  Where was the hi/lo/reverse switch on those?  Top of the tank?

My apologies for slow response times, I'm not on here a whole lot any more, just kind of in and out.

No worries on the response time I'm in no rush and surprised to get a reply at all lol yes the high low is a big shift lever on the left side of the tank, like center console shift in a car. I've seen the linkage points on the motor but don't know how to adjust it and didn't want to just start loosening stuff because it's currently still in high and does run and drive, would be nice to have reverse back though lol
