Thanks to everybody. Just got back, short but fun. It was the same place the old Rhino got hit so we took some pics and made some little videos to describe the accident. I'll post the in a bit.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WE SAW AT ABOUT 9000 FEET ON A NASTY ROCKY NARROW TRAIL! I will leave you in suspense for a little bit.

Here's a couple of pics my girl took of me riding.

I don't know what this guy was thinking but he was VERY close to being dead.

He tried to go around the rocks and his back tires started going down the hill. The hill was about a 45 degree angle and several hundred feet down.

I don't mean that was the 1st time I saw a Fedex truck like that, first time on an ATV trail and was that close to rolling down the hill.

so you mean youve never seen a fedex truck on the trails?

No that's something their not permitted to do. That was an ATV ONLY trail. The driver said it was his 3rd day on the route and he thought it would be a short cut. This was close to 10,000 feet above sea level. Is that a normal thing for you to see a fedex truck on the trails?

OH come on, that thing had to be stolen! I know they dont pay like UPS, but some dumbass up there? Did he have a radio with him? Musta left that brain in the breakroom near the donuts...

The only time I see stuff like that is after it's stolen and usually stripped as well.....

The funny thing was I saw the driver in his Fed Ex uniform about a mile before the truck. I was asking my girl what the hell was he doing? And sure enough about 2 minutes later, there's the truck. I then turned around to make sure he was ok, gave him a bottle of water and we were on our way. (I always carry stuff that can help someone stranded, enough other than my own supply) So I talked to the diver, not stolen. His 3rd day on the route and he read his map wrong. I use to be a UPS driver, I wouldn't want to show my face after that.

Don't think I am doubting you to be sure! that has got to be the biggest stoner in the western states!!! LOL

Did you help him out and point him towards the democratic national convention? I guess they have quite a collection of looney tunes there...wait, why does this remind me of an old movie? Cheech and Chong maybe?

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

I live about an hour west of Savannah and was wondering if anyone knew of places to ride in this area. Only place I know of is in North Georgia, about 4.5-5 hours from my house. Would like to find something closer.

      Hey everyone!
Ya'll have been so great and welcoming to our new Ambassador program, we wanted to be sure that Quad Crazy was getting info directly from us about the Stay The Trail educational program too.
The program was started in 2003 with the purpose of educating the public about responsible trail use and fostering a sense of stewardship among OHV enthusiasts.
The "Where To Go" section of our website is another great resource for anyone looking for trail info. We host all of the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) and overlay them on the Google mapping system. We want this site to be the place you go to for trail maps as you plan a run. The MVUM maps show what trails are open for what types of vehicles. If a trail is not on these maps, it is not an open trail.
We attend events and set up at trailheads throughout the season to ensure that folks are getting the info and education they need to be responsible on public trails. We have posters and brochures that quickly review these guidelines (all of the Etiquette info can also be found on the website).

Very soon, we will have a HUGE announcement about mobile mapping options!
Sam and Matt are going to be around on the forum, keeping everyone updated on what is new with the program and answering questions. Feel free to ask us any questions!

Hello, I am hoping to get some input from someone who knows the Wisconsin ATV laws/routes. In Wisconsin, you are allowed to ride on roads if they are a designated ATV route. In my county, that is pretty much every road in my area with the exception of the state highways.
Now where I find it confusing is this... Many villages/towns have their own ATV ordinances. State highways appear to be always off limits except to cross??? Federal highways cannot be crossed??? Then there are trails. In my area, the Gandy Dancer trail is for ATV use, but only on some parts... etc.
I would love to find a path along roads to get to atv trails, that are about 10-15 miles away, but I am struggling to understand the mix of rules of where I am allowed to ride.
Anyway, I am looking for any resources (paper maps, apps, websites, etc) that might have a map of roadways and trails in Wisconsin and maybe a color coded key of whether you can ride there.
      Thanks!
