about a hundred miles I think....very dependent on weather since I live on the snowy side.

as for flags, they are required here in all dune areas. triangle shape, bright orange, 8 foot pole I think. yes a QC flag would be cool!

Do you use an ATV safety (whip pole style) flag?

Just wanted to get an idea of who uses a flag on their atv.

Please post the following information:

Where, what state?

Is it required where you ride?

What style flag are you using? (picture if possible)

Where did you buy the flag, and how much was it?

Would you use a QUADCRAZY flag if we sold them?

Please vote in the poll attached to this thread.

Thanks!

Yes I use them. I have the LED type. In California the BLM and the State are starting to require them on ATVs. I like it on the night rides also.

No, we don't run any flags on our rigs. We mainly ride on private property or trails so we never had any use for them. I think they would be good on dunes but I have never got to ride any but I would like to.

I use one where it's required and some places that it's not. It's always on in the dunes (broke it earlier in the day in my pic) and on if I'm riding in an area where I can come up over a hill and get hit from somone coming the other way. The only place that I don't use it is in the woods. I got mine at a local shop in Vegas for about 14-15 bucks. It's just a plain flag with their logo on it

In Washington and Oregon Dunes You are Required to Have a Flag. Some Dune Locations are Very Strict on the Size, Color and Placement of the Flag (How High It's Postitioned, etc). We always keep extra flags (and poles) with us when we go out riding. It seems that we always lose at least one or two flags/ poles when our group is out riding. We like the pop-it whips. They're easy to assemble and dismantle and change, when necessary.

Some of us have our favorite decorative flags on the same pole as our "safety flags" when the safety flags (ie. orange) are required. You gotta pimp that ride!! But Always Safety First!

We don't have to use flags when we are riding the trails- Only the Dunes.

i voted yes .. but we usually only use it at places ware its required ... unless there are a real big bunch of riders at 1 of the local sand pits an it becomes a safety thing then we will use them just to help be seen ...

Wow...I packed a small soft side cooler with an ice pack  at -4 F and inserted my Type K thermocouple sensor inside so I could monitor the temperature without opening.  After 3 hours  the inside temperature was 60  F...OMG!   The ice pack  was solid frozen.   Standard temperature for safe storage is < 40 F.     What I found by asking was that there should be no air space in the cooler.  Packed with Ice preferably ice from connivence store (normally 0 F of less).  Food should take up  short day trip1:1 ratio.
      Good coolers are expensive.

What's the best kids atv out there? I've seen everything from the ones released by the major manufacturers to all those knock offs. Kawasaki has a KFX 50 that is pretty nice for under $1800...

MY MAX 4 6X6 2009, now this will actually go anywhere including across the water. In the 3rd photo I had gone up the river about 30 meters then climbed up the bank, 6X6 owners call it "swimming"
