its a 2000 AC 90

it runs, but when ever I hit the throttle it just dies. The compression is good, i drained the carb....still nothing. Runs perfect, then any throttle will kill it. Any help will be well appreciated, thanks in advance!

Jets could be clogged, how's the air filter? Did you get a bunch of snow in your airbox, have it melt and suck water?

maybe, but wouldnt that cause hydro lock and it wouldnt run at all?

ill take apart the carb sometime next week

you think compression could have anything to do with it, or maybe a seal or piston ring? It was at WOT for like 2 minutes straight lol...i kinda beat the hell out of it.

Compression could be an issue for sure, do a test. Also check the timing. If you have a service manual, it should tell you how to check the ignition components with a digital multimeter. If every thing looks ok with those, check valve clearances and the timing chain.

I would rip the carb out like you said you were going to do, and a compression test like DirtDemon said. I'm leaning towards a carb issue. By a rebuild kit from the dealer.

update

Its been sitting for about 3 weeks....never touched. Started and drove fine? I have no Idea what was up, but it works now so w/e haha. Thanks for the help guys....Ill probably need to strip down that carb sometime.

Really? Should I do anything before running it again?

Wonder how that happened? I had the thing buried in the snow, but im not sure how it could have gotten in to the carb or gas tank.

You also could have gotten a little water behind the stator cover. If you have the same problem again in the future, check the secondary ignition system. Ignition components work fine one minute and can go completely dead the next.

Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years.
He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year.
I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days
But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing)
Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20%
I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle

so i have bought a quad (1985 suzuki LT250E) and the quad had the wrong spark plug and was not tight enough I now have dirty tread and a compression leak what would be my best option try to force the spark plug or take a tap and clean the tread ?

Question for you guys. I have a 98 bayou 220 that I picked up cheap cause it's wasn't running. So it's has very low compression. It is getting spark and fuel.
What should my next course of action be? Any other tests I should perform or where to start looking?
      Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I just replaced the carp on my 98 Kodiak 400 with PN#4SH-14101-00-00. It starts and idles perfect, but once it’s good and warmed up, it bogs out at 3/4 throttle or more… it sounds like it’s bouncing off a rev limiter haha… I tried the air fuel screw, all the way in and out 2-1/2, and it made it a touch better… tried 2 turns and no different. Am I missing something?
