ok guys, just started tearing down the bike on tuesday after work and i was quit surprized at how much i got done in a 2 hrs. got all the plastics off and removed the motor. And also got some air craft cleaner and started to spray down the frame so i can repaint it. I was shocked to see how many different colors wer beneith the top layer of paint. Ther was a range from black, blue, yellow, and purple for the frame; and the shocks had about three different colors painted over them to. After spraying it down i noticed the front wheels changed colors to. I was excited on this one cause i found out the guy before sprayed the wheels silver and i have the old school gold wheels and hubs.

i'm tryin to upload the pics right now but photobucket is being a d#*sh. But as soon as i upload them i'll post up the progress so far

I am a two stroke lover myself, but there is no need to be like that here, if you want to bash 4-strokes, go to E2S.

Hello everyone, I have a 92 honda trx350 I just picked up that has a bent section of the frame where the rear of the seat would clip into place. It almost looks like a tree or something heavy fell on it. Its a fairly deep bend, if that makes sense. It like a V instead of straight. What are peoples goto methods for straightening a section like that?

Hi All.  I introduced myself some weeks ago with my 2006 LT-F400F that needed a list of repairs including replacing the cracked generator cover.  It is back together as of last night and cranks up, idles and revs high pretty well.  Needs some fine tuning and stop backfiring at stop.
The big issue is it will not go into gear.  I reassembled the insides with help from y’all’s posts.  The transfer selector moves from H-L-R, and the foot shifter moves thru the gears and finds neutral easily enough.  Before I tear it back open, the  transfer selector on top does not move as far as the repair manual says.  The diagram shows the shaft moving something like 40 degrees between L and H and 50+ degrees between L and R but it doesn’t move that far even though it finds the indent areas and moves well.
Could this be the problem.  I aligned all the dots on the shifter gears inside and it appeared to not be binding anywhere.  I do hear the gears touching when I shift like they are trying to engage, but zero movement from the ARV
It was somewhat difficult to tell whether all the parts are installed on each shaft.
Are there better/bigger photos somewhere that would allow me to be confident I included all the washers and bushings, etc?  If I had any doubt on parts that were laying inside after the cover broke then I purchased replacements from online stores.
TIA for any input or feedback!!  Pics are from when I first took the generator cover off.

Have a high heat issue on the right side panel on my 2021 cforce 400, as complained about by the wife.
My heat gun shows after 15 minute ride in ambient 91 deg temps;  690 degrees on front end of muffler close to entry pipe and 375 on exit side of muffler.  The right side plastic (where wife's leg would touch) was showing 175 degrees.  This is rediculous!.
As I understand the muffler has a built in catalytic converter which obviously kicks off high heat particularly at front end of muffler, but the heat is atrocious.
What is everyone doing about this problem?  Is there a replacement muffler to eliminate this issue?
