Many of us know Raptor8, he has helped everyone here in one way or another. By either getting their machine running to even making you laugh on a bad day. Kristin and I have gotten to know him very well and he has become a dear friend. As most of us know he has been having medical difficulties which has caused him to not be able to grace us with his presence.

I got word today that he had a stroke this morning, he is still fighten and giving the docs hell...that's Mr.8 for ya. He is in the hospital waiting for more test as I type.

Hang in there brother, we need you around.:frown:

I'm keeping Raptor8 in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated on any news. For those that were not in the community yet, Raptor8 was a moderator here who helped many people with his technical expertise. He took the time out to help members in the community.

I remember reading a thread where BOT and DrtyGirl hooked up with him and I believe met through QUADCRAZY...(not sure though, BOT, correct me if I'm wrong).

I wish him a speedy recovery, and all the best.

We did meet through another forum but became great friends on this on.

While Drtygrl and I were on our honeymoon he showed us an amazing time while we were in Oregon. He made us some bbq, took us on a great trail ride, and just treated us as if we were family. He is a great man.

Here is an update from Mr. 8

WOW we've had a fun week so far. Monday morning I had a STROKE so got another ambulance ride. They did every test imaginable, MRI,CAT,ultrasound, EKG<ECG, I have about 20 more holes in me. Then they went into my left femoral artery and snaked a catheter up into my neck and brain and did a little cleaning.

I am back home now but not very darn active. I have most of my left eye, arm and leg back and it is getting better so we expect a full recovery.

Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

Hey guys! I am new here to the forum and need some help getting my Polaris 325 Magnum 2001 Running.....So I got it for free and it has never run quite right...I put a aftermarket carb on it last year and it was running fine but it only went like 20 maybe 25mph max......But then the needle and seat sealed leaked within a yeah and it flooded it REALLY bad so I changed the oil because it was full of gas. So then I put a genuine Polaris carb on it and I have it set to all the factory specs, but it was still not running right....So I replaced the ignition coil and the spark plug and that solved one of the problems I had (It would bog down and stop running when i would go up a hill) But it still didn't have that much "Punch" to it like my Kawasaki Prairie 300 ans Suzuki Kingkuad 300.....So I replaced the CDI but it's still not running right! It's acting like it rich kinda....So it runs mostly okayish when I have the airfilter on but the top of the airbox off but as soon as I put the airbox lid on it like REALLY bogs down and wants to stall really bad. I have the carb at the factory specs and it has a pretty new fuel pump so I have no ideas whats going wrong! It still nly has a top speed of only about 30-35mph and it sounds like it's choking the whole time! Thank you for sticking to the end, and I hope you guys can help me!

I have acquired a free 92 Polaris 350L 4X4. Ive replaced carburetor from ebay, replaced spark plug, im trying to pull start but sounds like it doesnt want to fire. Spark is a bright orange spark (checked with spark plug tester), replaced plug, pre mixed gas from an external gravity feed tank. Compression test good. Anyone got any recommendations for me?

Hi. I just joined the community. I have a sheep farm and use a Polaris 500HO, Polaris 700efi and a JD Gator 825i for different jobs around the farm. I do all the repairs myself so I am sometimes needing some advice and maybe I can be of some help to others as well.
